[ When the video opens, it's of a young maiden with golden eyes and dark hair with red ombre over it that makes it look fully red when she moves her head. In her arms is a fox kit and a voidcat that's playing with it, and she's dressed in a pale pink outfit too. ]

... Ah. It's already been a month. Time certainly flies in a daze at times.

How do you... mortals and otherwise... deal with losing someone that was a part of your life for long enough to make it feel empty with them gone? My mortal fiance, Ren Jinguji, left a month ago. I thought he'd return... so I waited, and waited... and looked...

I've never... truly faced loss like this, save one time... and I don't know how to react properly to it.

[ Pausing, then bowing her head apologetically. ]

[ Being as he's dealt a lot with the likes of Malleus - who had desperately needed friends - growing up, he's very apt at spotting others who were the same. Those who didn't know about others of their own kind and getting the chance to start opening up.

Ah... it's very kind of you to say. I didn't get to speak to many others before I found myself taken to another world.

Tell me about where you come from? My lands are called The Prism Mists, and they're a beautiful place filled with many different Mistkind... most of us are fairies by what a mortal would call us. I am of the foxkind fairies, and their oracle.

What is your home like, Lord Lilia?

Is that so? That's quite a shame!

[ Lilia means every word, since it seems like she'd missed a lot before being whisked off here. Either way, he's all too happy to answer that question since she'd even supplied a bit about her own home. ]

Briar Valley is quite stunning, with steep cliffs and mountains but also has a lovely forest to visit! It's common to see magical aptitude for those of us who live there, and everything's powered by technomancy rather than actual mechanics.

[ He has a LOT of pride while speaking of his homelands, almost on the verge of going into something of a tangent. ]

It's the lands that once belonged to the powerful and great Thorn Fairy during her prime! Though not all of us are the same type of fae, it's more common that you'll see more fae than humans typically. [ Lilia waved a hand dismissively, smile still as bright as always. ] Though i've more recently been spending time at Night Raven College as to be closer to my family, among other reasons.

[ Which may draw some different conclusions in her mind about his real age and all. ]

[ She listens, with rapt attention- it's always so nice to hear about people from different worlds. She hadn't properly begun her journey with Demon King to get rid of their forced bond before she was taken here- only traveling a few worlds in their exploration, so hearing about new places always has her interest. ]

Thorn Fairy... and Briar Valley... they sound amazing. And I- I know what a college is... isn't that where mortals go to study? Then... are you a teacher there?


[ Because even with his baby face, he seems rather mature. That, and she IS an oracle. Though she can't tell his real age through the device, she CAN tell he's likely older than he looks, much like herself! ]

You are correct that it is a place for mortals go to study but this is a special college meant for those who have the ability to use magic. Many talented mages with real promise attend this particular college, though I attend as a student.

[ Mischievousness shone in his eyes and he gave her a wink, resting his cheek in his palm. He may or may not be floating mid-air or anything. Who can say? ]

I have my reasons for doing so. [ Lilia brought up one finger to his lips in a familiar gesture many would be sure to know. ] I can't entirely disclose them here but I wouldn't be against discussing them in person sometime.

A school for mages... my, there are all kinds! But you really attend as a student, Lord Lilia? I suppose one never stops learning, but that must mean you're even more wise than I thought!

[ He seems very clever, and she smiles at that familiar gesture. It makes her giggle- truly enjoying being able to speak to someone with habits that feel normal to her (even if they aren't normal to others that aren't fae), and she feels a fondness she hasn't felt in a while.

She had retainers once who were this sweet and good to her, after all. ]

I should love to hear more about you, Lord Lilia. I... didn't realize a month had passed, but I would make time for you if you ever wanted to meet. I'm sure you have amazing stories to tell.

[ Her little fox kit noses up at the device too, staring adorably at the screen and yipping at Lilia. ]

I do! It's a very fascinating school and is rarely ever boring with all that goes on there!

[ Just the fact he was able to make her giggle was a good sign he was helping put her in a better mood in itself. There was something almost protective coming to the forefront the more time he spoke with her, a gentleness showing on his face.

The kind of look a father may wear when looking at his children, really. ]

[ She appreciates the care, having not been in her own two fathers' presence for centuries. They've likely moved on from her after she got cursed anyway (this isn't fully true, they've been looking for ways to help her, but that did require not being there for her while they did, and it's not like they worry too much about being apart that long with their long lifespans...)-

But she smiles, fond and quiet, giving him a nod. ]

Mm! There is a lovely tea and sweets shop here. The human that runs it lets me make my own sweets there, so you should come try them! And this is... [ She makes a strange twinkling sound, like pixie bells, but then normally- ] A human suggested "Mitsu", though.

[ As Lilia is a fairy himself, he's free to have understood her the first time- the name she gave is "Sundroplet" in fairy speak but a very particular form that's hard to parse in human speech. ]
