I mean, it seems like it wasn't a terrible idea, but of course messing with someone's mind runs a risk of doing damage to it. I guess it's lucky it was only the memory, things could have been really bad.

Sounds like the consequence of working with technology is dealing with those who don't want anything to do with it.
