I can draw if safely as long as nothing is prompting a reaction from it. A lot of ambient magic can, or if I use dark magic.
Shadow magic is less of a sure thing, and I'm more concerned about that. Any dark magic I can't replace with shadows or seasonal magic is very situational anyway. [Like the lowkey mind control stuff.]
If its used in combat enough, it'll also start to react, especially if its actually striking down enemies. I haven't tested that so far, but that's how it always was with the previous wielders, regardless of the enemy actually being a creature of darkness. It probably doesn't if the enemy is pure of heart, that's usually how these things go, but beasts still prompt a reaction eventually.
And when it lights up, its very...ambient and that becomes a problem if I'm not prepared for it. It divides my focus to use it and not let it cause problems. So if I could keep the light at least contained in the sword properly....
