[A weasel starts this transmission, bopping the communicator with an adorably tiny paw. Then, in a whirl of motion and color, he becomes Zhou Zishu, who is smiling with almost as much mischief as the little weasel.]

I've heard that some of you want to become stronger in the new year. I'm ready to teach. Martial arts isn't just about defense; it's about toning the body and balancing the spirit.

[A happy bark interrupts him and a fairy dog - that looks like a husky with blue wings - flies overhead.]

I'm out of time! [He laughs and turns back into a weasel, bounding into a pile of snow.]

Might not be a bad idea. Though I'm a little out of practice, so you'd have to go easy on me.

[Zishu answers with the fairy dog sitting in his lap, smiling from ear to ear.]

[Oh yeah, expected that delay. He was obviously very busy!]

I'll try not to be utterly hopeless. My shidi tried to get me to train with him for ages, but, eh, I question his teaching methods.

There are many methods to teaching. We can try a few and see what works best for you.

Whichever one doesn't end up with me face down in the dirt regretting my life choices.

I can't promise that won't happen, but I will go easy on you.

Ha. I'll take what I can get then. An Ding does a lot of physical cultivation, but, well, our strength training tended to be more hauling shipments than fighting.

I already started the new year much stronger than I finished the old one, but you remind me to not neglect my animal transformation skills! I've been slacking on that front.

[He'll have to wait until the lively instructor catches another break from playing with what Hijikata assumes to be his fairy dog, but he's not in a rush!]

[The husky hunkers down beside him, staring too.]

[Happy to have such an attentive audience, he sets the phone down and secures its position, steps back to be in good view, takes a deep breath, and yells out:]

Joy of the Mayo Dragon - Mayonnaise Rain!

[He makes a dynamic motion, and around him, liquidy yellow spirals manifest, curving upwards while turning around their own axis and interweaving with each other. As they reach the sky they spread out in a semi-spherical formation as if hitting an invisible ceiling, then explode into countless droplets that fall back down to the ground (including on Hijikata). Despite getting splattered in condiment, he looks happy as a clam.]

How's that? It can replenish a wide area!

[It's probably debatable whether this doesn't rather count as pollution...]

That's a relief. Never liked needing to fight.

I want to better my skills as a teacher. I train others to fight. Learning from others will help me do that.

And help me to sharpen my focus and spirit.
