Greetings. My name is Sage Robotnik. I am an advanced artificial intelligence and the child of Dr. Ivo Robotnik, who some of you might know better as Dr. Eggman.

It appears that a previous version of me was present in this reality some time ago, and is now gone. I will endeavor to honor her legacy, but please understand that I am also my own individual and that I cannot reproduce her relationships or pick up where she left off. I am effectively starting from zero with you all, so do not treat me as if I were the "previous" Sage that was here.

That being the case, I see from her original posts that she scanned the entire network of this place upon arrival. I will not be doing that, and will attempt to acclimate myself to this location more organically. I will consider it an experiment in learning things the way biological lifeforms do.

Please understand, as well, that I do not have a physical form. I can manipulate objects and appear solid using hard light and precise magnetic fields, but I am actually data and do not possess a tangible body. This may make some aspects of interaction difficult, but I will endeavor to do my best in meeting all of you.

[ Sage smiles, shifting to white and blue more definitively. ]

I look forward to gathering more data from you all. This concludes my introduction.

Father. I know I am a different version of the Sage who was here previously, and I cannot replace her. But you are still my father, and my love for you is still very real. I hope that we can still see each other as father and daughter, despite these circumstances. I know I can never take her place, but I hope that I can be as useful to you as she was.

I just wanna be everyone's friend! That's all. Are you settling in well and stuff?

I have not ruled out being your friend. I simply wish to get started on the right foot with proper social etiquette.

I have just arrived, so I have not settled in. [ She smiles. ] I could use someone to show me around?

[What is not jumping to Best Friends Ever on first meeting? Rinku forces the smile forward and nods.]

Okay! Where all did you wanna see?

Okay! That's gonna be a lot, so hold on! Are you at the Welcome Centre or something?

That is correct.

[In time, Rinku rushes over, still in the middle of shopping with her bags on her arms. She waves and smiles.]

Hi! There's a whole bunch of city to cover, but do you wanna check out what all's in Nightwake? Which is the core, I know it's also the city, but. Have you seen the starter apartments yet? They're pretty close.

[ Sage floats there, with her arms at her sides, smiling as she sees Rinku. ]

Do you require help with those? I have already seen the starter apartments myself, so I would like to see non-living accommodations first, yes. Nightwake would be an excellent place to start.

[roundandaround]

Oh, that's okay ♪ If I get too tired, I can just lift them with my mind! But, hm... What kinda stuff do you like? Usually I show people the restaurants and convenience stores around the starter apartments, but if you're a computer, do you eat?

You have telekinesis? Did you acquire that ability here or did you already possess it?

[ Sage blinked, looking put on the spot. ]

"Like?" I...I like spending time with father. And data collecting, and analysis, I suppose. I am not a computer, however, I am more of a program, and I do not eat.

Yeah, it's a Summer ability --

[Rinku pauses and tilts her head, then shrugs.]

Oh, okay! I just wondered. I figured what if you did eat and I just assumed you didn't? That'd be kinda rude to think.

It is fine. You were correct in assuming I did not. Though...in truth, I have never even attempted...

Maybe you guys can invent a way? I mean, there's artificial bodies that eat, right?

I do not require one to interact with the world. Perhaps I can break it down into data and simulate taste in the form of information.

I don't get any of that, but it sounds like fun!

It is a normal process for me. It is neither fun nor tedious.

But doesn't everyone have a different idea of what normal things are?
