[Katsuki usually doesn't do video, because he much prefers being an asshole behind a wall of text but this was important. This was something that needed to be said-- and shown-- and text wouldn't work.

So the video opens up with the blonde sitting at a table, looking stern and already mad without even saying anything yet.]

I have just one thing to say, and I'm going to keep this short and sweet.

[He pulls out his phone (using a laptop to make this post in the first place) and he scrolls through his camera roll for a moment before showing it off. Letting everyone see a boy with green curls and freckles, who had his picture taken when he wasn't looking and was smiling so bright and happy.]

This? This is Deku. If you hurt him, or insult him, or make him cry I WILL track you down and break your legs.

Or even worse: I'll turn 'ya into a vampire! So you better watch your mouth around him and treat him with respect, goddamn it!

[Katsuki pouts at Shoto and the fact that he's calling him out like this, rather than letting Katsuki bully him but can he really be mad for long when he truly is so gosh darn happy right now? He can't. And that pout breaks pretty quick with an short, amused laugh that melts into his fake-annoyed tone.]

No I ain't! I'm annoyed as hell that I gotta look after Deku's stupid ass now!

[Of course, he's lying. His smile just won't leave!]

It was easier when you were the only one I had to worry about!

[Pout meet "sass". The half-strength jab's easily parried, joy meeting joy when he offers the small, habitually tiny, fragile half-smirk back.

The false bravado's all rust.]

[Katsuki puffs up like a cat when Shoto continues to sass him in reply, and his grin turns into an overly angry frown.]

I ain't worried 'cuz you're weak! I'm worried 'cuz you're both dumbasses who are too reckless when it comes to helping others!

[says the one who lost an arm and became a vampire because he wanted to help people???]

[Pot and kettle, right...?]

I'm not reckless.

[He'll latch to that last bit as if the truth's more an insult, plainly unbothered by his choice of phrase.

The barbs don't register.]

I'm only keeping up with you two... [To stay in step!]

[Katsuki... can't argue with that even a little bit and he pouts at the fact that he's lost this argument. Shoto was getting so good at challenging Katsuki's ire, and as much as it annoys him he also has a lot of fun arguing with the other boy.]

Alright. Maybe not reckless. But you definitely overwork yourself!

[This was something that Shoto can't retort!!]

I dunno how you even have the time to sleep!

[And there's even some nights where Shoto barely sleeps...]

[True as it is, he isn't conceding to him one way or the next. It's how he is, considering how the youth's been "raised", the impossible standards he keeps for himself—though, he's little different from the blond in this case; much as he tends to mimic him too, and he can't keep pride from slipping into the fact. A quiet mischief when he tilts his face, though the smile he offers here is all softened sugar.]

It's for a good cause.

[Katsuki is really thankful this exchange between the two of them was taking place on a public post rather than through a real video call. Because the videos can be played whenever anyone wanted, and the blonde finds himself replaying that smile just a couple of times. Burning how sweet and gentle Shoto's expression looked deep into his mind, before even thinking of responding.

When he does, he puts on the angriest scowl he can to scold Shoto for thinking he can get away with such an answer.]

No it ain't!

[HUFF]

Stop sacrificing your health for other people and go take a nap!

[A second fractional rebellion; "I learned from you" stitched loose into the tones of his voice; oblivious to his being replayed. How Katsuki's created a monster to match. Their game is fun; their "bickering's" fun. His smiling's peace.]

[That's going to earn SUCH the pout from Katsuki, maybe... a little put on more than usual, because it's Shoto. But he really can't argue with him when he says that they can all rest with that soft looking smile. Ugh..]
