UN: FKBarghest, Video

[The screen opens to the sight of Barghest dressed like a park ranger and standing in front of a truck carrying what appears to be a huge cannon.]

Greetings Ellipsa, this is Barghest speaking. I'm making this post for multiple reasons, the chief of which being to inform my friends and loved ones that I'm back after my sudden absence. Evangeline, Rider, Chipp, Farja, I would like to meet up with you as soon as I can.

The second reason is to announce the change in my username. I no longer have need of the name Gawain, so from now on I will be going by Barghest alone.

The third and final announcement is that, as the captain of the Union Defense Knights, I will be taking on the volunteer position of firefighter wherever it is needed, in wild or urban environments. If you see a fire and there isn't anyone on hand who can handle it, please don't hesitate to call me.

[She knocks on the truck's side, changing the camera angle to reveal pumps hooked up to the truck's massive cannon. It is, apparently, a firetruck.]

Did you get practice dealing with being called cute over the summer, too? You’re less flustered over it.

A proper maid must be able to handle any situation with grace, no matter what is demanded of her. No matter how excessive or embarrassing I might find... certain things, it wouldn't do to let it impact my actions.

Does that mean when you're not dressed as a maid you'll get embarrassed like before?

...Yes.

[Barghest turns away and rings her bell again. The stone Daikokuten spring into action, wiping down and setting the table and cleaning any dishes that may still be in the sink.]

Oh good. I'd miss that for sure.

[Humming cheerfully, Evangeline starts getting out ingredients for bibimbap. She's pretty confident with this recipe by now, so she thinks she can make something worthy of a celebration.]

[Barghest takes her place at the table, the Daikokugolems taking utensils as Evangeline finishes with them and taking them to the sink to wash. They even retrieve utensils and ingredients for Evangeline when asked.]

[Fast forward past cooking blah blah blah, and Evangeline brings the completed dish to the table to serve both of them.]

I hope you like it. I've been working on my cooking, but I still have a lot of room for improvement, I think.

[Not wanting to get her dress dirty, Barghest reverts to her first Ascension to eat.]

Well, as with most things, there's really only one way to get better. Keep trying, identify the flaws in your technique, and correct them.

[With that, she takes her first bite of the dish.]

[The result: it's good! Nothing mindblowing, but she's capable of competently following a recipe.

Evangeline takes a bite herself.]

I think it came out okay?

I can think of a few ways to improve it, but it came out well enough for a basic recipe. I'd put that as a good sign of you being decently competent at this.

[Barghest continues with her (assumedly much larger) portion with a pleased smile.]
