What I do is tell myself I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up in the first place, but I don't really recommend that.

but i did. i had a taste of it. wanted it more than anything. i really thought i could do it. but i ended up losing my quirk, so now i have to figure something else.

support gear? ah, not even that would necessarily be enough to make up for not having a quirk. all the pro heroes have one. and some of them also have support gear on top of that to help them out. so.

I dunno why you couldn't do it just because nobody else's done it. And besides, you have way more experience the other people who didn't do it don't have! And you're super smart too!

even pros after they've gotten older or really hurt end up retiring. they don't switch to just relying solely on support gear. i may be smart, but that only gets you so far when you're up against villains. i wouldn't have the strength, the abilities to keep up.

What makes you think that? You've learned to fight and stuff. I mean, you could even help other people learn to fight villains. I'm sure you could do it.

But you were a hero. You saved people's lives. Not being able to do it forever doesn't make that worth nothing.

what if i can't keep fighting for it? without my quirk, i can't be a pro hero. i wouldn't stand a chance against the villains.
