[The video starts as it is clearly inside the starter apartments. A yellow fox looks at the screen with a discerning eye before he speaks. For those who have seen another very similar fox, this one's hair is different. It is grey and side swept. Yet the yellow fur, the blue eyes, and white muzzle are all the same. His voice is even the same.

Though his fashion sense is more uniform inspired than cyberpunk. Also he has no metal tails attached to his back. Just two fluffy fox tails that flick behind him.]

I remember announcement videos are often common in places like this. Yet another world, summoning forth anyone and everyone to save it and its native inhabitants.

My name is Miles Prower. Yes, I am a Mobeian. Yes I have two tails.

No, I have no childish nickname you may call me instead of my name. Miles will do just fine.

With the basics covered, I am seeking other Winter magic users. Unlike some, I am interested in the study and application of magic.

[He pauses to contemplate something before he speaks again.]

Only two tails?

It sounds like you may have already met him but just in case you do know you have a doppelganger here right?

[ Just after Miles posts his message, there’s a hurried, heavy knock at his door. It repeats after a few seconds, brutal in its immediacy and demanding in its request for entry. ]

Another zone's version of me? Unsurprising. Seen it before.

Though I have not met this other version yet. You said only two? Do they have more?

[Miles looks at the door for a moment. He approaches it slowly, turning the knob to try and only open it a crack to see just who is on the other side.]

[ Once Miles opens it a crack, the person on the other side takes the opportunity to force their way inside, revealing themselves to be Scourge, who instantly puts his arm around Miles’ shoulder…though it’s really more of a headlock than a brotherly gesture. ]

Hey there little buddy, miss me?!

Scourge?!

[It happens all too quickly. Because of course it does. The door is slammed open and before Miles can do anything, he is grabbed around the head and neck. He pulls at the arm around him but it's futile. He doesn't have the strength. Of course he didn't miss you, Scourge. Seeing you again is the worst thing.]

They brought you here too. [Of course the magic would be so indiscriminate.]

How...have you been?

Oh, you know. Languishing in interdimensional prison because of all you god damn traitors!

[ He starts dragging Miles towards the apartment’s bathroom at that point. ]

Which I think I’ll pay you back for, right now, by the way!

[That clues Miles in that he remembers the most recent happenings then. Not good. He struggles and kicks, trying to not go with Scourge and is dragged along anyway.

We can't be traitors if we were never on your side! is what he wants to say. But that will only lead to more of whatever is coming.]

L-Let go! Let go of me! It was the Princess Alicia's idea! N-Not mine! [A lie. Still, maybe a lie will save him. Maybe.]

Like hell it was! I know who the real ideas man always is!

[ Once he reached the toilet, he shoved Miles’ head in. After holding it there for several seconds, he reached for the handle and flushed. ]

As far as I’m concerned, this is you getting off easy!

[Miles flails his legs and arms. He can't quite grab the bowl. Water splashes and then is flushed, giving a brief moment of reprieve. He coughs and tries to push himself up against Scourge's hold.]

Let! Go!

[ Scourge laughs, but holds firm as the bowl begins to refill. He'll let Miles sputter for a while. ]

Do you have any idea what they put me through in zone jail?! The humiliation?! This is just a fraction of what I went through on a daily basis! I spent my days getting humiliated by Smalls the friggin' Cat because of you, you little turd!

[The water fills up again and Miles has to take a deep breath before it reaches his face. He claws at the bowl. He hopes this stupid thing was cleaned before he moved in. Humiliation? This was just a fraction of what he went through?! Miles makes a noise that causes bubbles to come up to the surface of the water.

Humiliation. Following a self-absorbed idiot. That same idiot coming back into their lives and beating all of them, tormenting them, and even disfiguring them to make them something else? Someone else? The humiliation of serving a so-called king like Scourge?! Oh yes. He has no idea what that feels like. His lungs burn as his hand reaches up, desperately trying to find the handle to flush the toilet himself.]

[ Miles never gets that chance. Scourge pulls him free, and lifts him up so he's level with Scourge's face. He narrows his eyes behind his glasses, glaring at the young fox. ]

Have you learned your fucking lesson, Miles? This is what happens to people who get in my way! You're friggin' lucky the Destructix weren't here! I could have sicced Flying Frog on you!

[ And then he drops him. ]

[Miles coughs and sputters. He falls to the floor and wipes his face with his gloved hand. He hates how small Scourge makes him feel. He glares up at the green hedgehog.]

...Yes, your majesty. I've learned my lesson. [The next time he wants to take care of Scourge, he will find a way to do it himself.]

[Might as well rip this band-aid off and just go video.

Nine appears on-screen in his usual shorts and hoodie-vest, an eyebrow quirked as he studies the other fox on his screen.]

You're more to the point than most foxes, that's for sure. I know a Winter user you could reach out to.

[Miles looks at the fox who looks and sounds familiar. His eyes shift slightly then back to Nine's face on the screen.]

Nine times as smart. Hm. So you're the doppelganger the fox spoke of.

I find there's no reason to beat around the bush when those of us from other worlds are either going through the same thing or already have. Who is the Winter user?

I'm not surprised you got it in one. Not my favorite description, but it's fitting I guess. My name's Nine.

[Miles receives a ping with a contact. Cole Harrison.]

He's the partner of one of my clients. He's been here longer than I have, and my client says he's been practicing pretty much since they got here.

[Nine. An interesting name. And not Tails. Which is refreshing.]

How many other versions of us are in this world? And what about other versions of Sonics?

There was a version of Tails here, but he disappeared quite awhile ago and there haven't been any others since. And at the moment there is only a single Sonic, down from two. Odd are good he'll be quick to check on on you.

[He reclines a little.]

Sharing information gets us closer to what needs doing, so if you've got questions I have answers for you'll probably be fine to ask.

[Miles thinks before he speaks. There was a Tails and now only one Sonic. Could be useful against Scourge.]

From my understanding, due to my age, they will provide an allowance for me. They don't expect me to find employment. Which is fine. Learning the magic is my top priority currently.

What would you suggest I focus on in settlings in this Zone besides learning this new magic?

[Younger than him then. And from one of the Zone universes. Noted.]

They might not expect it, but it's worth considering if you need full freedom. Unless you're comfortable with only jumping into quests.

[What does he recommend? That's a good question. Nine considers for a moment, his eyes never leaving the screen.]

Start with the basics. Familiarize yourself with the area, decide where you'll actually want to live. Touch energy is more than available so much like your other necessities you'll be fine there so long as you can tolerate the other otherworlders. I'm sure you were already planning to do that. Maybe consider a Pokemon or two if you can deal with pets. A lot of us have them so the extra protection could be worthwhile.
