Mecchan's birthday is coming up! It's in almost two weeks! He's too shy to have a party, but I wanted to let everyone know! When you have someone in your life who's really anxious and doesn't wanna have a big celebration, how do you let them know they're loved and appreciated?

I got a ship!!! I don't know what I'm gonna do with it but does anyone wanna do that boat race up in the Winter Segment with me? It sounds like a ton of fun! We could get a whole crew together and everything!

What usually helps people with anxiety feel loved and appreciated most is just respecting their wishes.
That's probably the same for animals and such, I bet.
So like, if you really want to give him a party, just do something with the two of you and Hina-chan!

Thanks! We did a little family gathering last year, so that'll probably work! Last year we went flower viewing in the Cherry Blossom Parks. Have you ever been? It's really nice if you bring protection from the monsters! Although that time we didn't really see many anyway.

Little family gatherings are great for this kind of thing too. I didn't want to make any assumptions by suggesting but if you've got the family and he likes them all, that's my personal favorite.

Yeah, there's not a lot of people out there on account of the monsters. I figure if people want to do a normal hanami they have Blossomcrown Central Park, right? That's the perfect place for something like that!

Really? Thanks so much! Yeah, the library has everything, doesn't it? Neechan's there so often, and sometimes I go too if I gotta figure something out, although I usually get distracted with something that looks more fun.

The library is always my first stop when I need to learn something. Or when I get stuck on a script.

Oya? Do you mean like a book on a different research topic? I sometimes do that too. I'll be looking at action stories, and then five hours later, I find myself looking at books on how to make obscure 11th century weapons.

I'm not really good at studying unless it's something I'm really into. So I usually start reading books about animals... or sometimes stuff that could help me make better songs. I also tried reading romance novels to learn from those but Neechan lectured me when I tried.

She says they're really unrealistic and made me promise not to try anything I saw in one without asking someone if it worked that way in real life... especially the dirty parts.

Yes, I had noticed that there were discrepancies between novels and the related educational materials that I had found.

...She didn't happen to say whether or not the non sexual parts were more accurate, did she? There aren't a lot of educational materials for human courting rituals like there are for animals.

Mostly for that part she talked about how they're full of drama and stuff to be interesting. Which makes sense, I guess.
