[ this may seem like a bit of an odd thing to post on the network but L I S T E N. When you've been trapped in a 13-day time loop for 186.604 years, Tomorrow^TM really matters. Nenonen's, like, ready to hyperventilate here SOMEONE CONFIRM THIS IS TOMORROW PLS?? ]

Aight, kittens it is.

[He is a-okay with this decision. In his mind, nothing of value has been lost.
If Nen decides they don't like birds because of what he's said, then they're just smart and listening to him!!!

Anyway.

He waves for Nen to follow, already taking a step toward the area the cats are currently kept.]

[ Suffice to say, the kittens are a big hit. They're less "wiggling legs" and more "incurable need to CLIMB" than the puppies were, but they have their own charm. Sitting on the floor being covered in tiny cats trying to climb to the top of their shoulders isn't a bad way to spend some time, Nen decides.

It's with hands full of kitten, two more trying to climb up the front and back of their shirt respectively, that Nen finally says: ]

...Thank-you for bringing me here, Chipp. This is nice.

[ And Nen doesn't just mean the kittens and puppies and all else is nice. It's Chipp bringing them here. Extending that hand when they were having a tough time and bringing them out. Doing something. Trying to cheer them up? That. ]

[ If they're smiling, then even for this brief moment, they're not thinking about whatever nightmares followed them from home . . . hopefully.

The whirlwind doesn't let up, though Venti idly twirls a few errant petals around his forefinger while he watches. ]

[Honestly? No matter what the intent behind something like that is, the sentiment still gets a big, goofy smile to spread on Chipp's screen.
Just a genuine show of warmth, even though it was made by a computer out of pixels.]

[ Nen cups their hand and manages to catch a petal or two that it's clear they fawn over. The petals are soft, so tiny and so colourful, and when the wind tugs them away they can't help but lift and arm to chase it; hugging their sunflower close with the other. ]

I only ever same them in paintings and books.

Peanut butter? Of course, I have! It's very versatile in how you use it in recipes also it's a decent source of protein. Have you never had it before?

Not before coming here. Chipp showed me though and it's pretty good. We can get it on crepes with apple sauce. I know a good shop that makes them.

[ Nen answers that very factually, almost surprised that Venti guesses that. He doesn't look anything like anyone Nen's ever seen before back there though, so it's even more puzzling to Nen that he got that outright. ]

I don't know. I haven't asked him to be friends yet. I think I would like it though. He knows a lot and explains everything to me when I don't know something.

How many flowers does your world have? A lot?

Thousands! More than I've even been able to see for myself, I'm sure.

That many?? But...how do you get water to them all?? How do you find that much soil?

[ Because Nenonen has only ever seen city with not a lot of green in it...so they're picturing thousands of flower pots, or parks, where soil has to be delivered in large plastic bags by the truck load... ]

They didn't end early. Sometimes I wouldn't get to the thirteenth day or remember it, but it always happened.
