[ Video opens on Sarajevo, who's apparently lying on a rooftop somewhere, judging by how far away the ground behind/below her is. She flashes a pair of peace signs (she's holding the phone with her tail). ]

Hey, fellas! It's ya girl, Sarajevo. Seen a lot of humans around, so I wanted to check something real quick.

Anyone else here from Terra? You know, the one with the Catastrophes and the nomadic cities? And the Savrans? I'm pretty sure I saw some Cautus and Elafria around, maybe a couple Feline. We don't have humans there, so just based on that, I'm guessing we're in the minority here.

If any of that rings a bell, gimme a shout! If it doesn't... I dunno. Tell me a weird story about whatever planet you came from. We'll make it a whole thing.

[ Thumbs up. It can't be just her who's from Terra, right?

[ Not long after. A random restaurant Sarajevo looked up on her phone. Looks like a diner that specializes in breakfast, but breakfast for lunch is always a good idea.

She shows up slightly late, due to getting briefly distracted by something or other but mostly because she just isn't too fussed about getting to things on time as a general lifestyle.

She waves as she makes her way over to the table. ]

Hey, Ash! Nice to meet you face to face!

[ Ash was Early because she's just like this. But as Sarajevo approaches she jumps up to greet her, a little flustered still. ]

Oh-- you as well! It's Sarajevo, right?

[socialchameleon]

That's right!

[ If she's a little flustered now, she's about to get more flustered. Rather than offer a handshake, Sarajevo leans in for an unannounced hug, with a big smooch on the cheek to cap it off. ]

Sorry, just getting the touchy refuely part taken care of. I feel better already!

[ Yeah, her WHOLE face down to her neck turns tomato red, but after a hesitant moment of flailing her hands a bit she hugs back, hopefully with the same level of enthusiasm. ]

Oh-- oh, it's no worry, of course... it does feel better, after all.

[ Oh that reaction is too cute. At the very least she's gotta keep flirting with this one.

Having done her bit, she slides into the next chair over. ]

So, Ash, tell me about yourself. What kind of adventures does a sphinx get into?

Well-- um.

[ She hesitates a moment before sitting back down again, expression sheepish. ]

... I don't really remember much, you see!

[ Sarajevo perks up at that. A mystery! ]

Do you mean you have amnesia?

[lionsharing]

I guess so. I kinda have vague recollections, if I really think about it, but my head kind of hurts...? So it's fine if I don't. I don't think I really forgot anything that important, anyway.

Well, if you think about it, that means you'll have a great time here! Why fret about going home if you don't remember home to begin with?

Oh, I-- I do remember home. A little, at least. I know mother would be worried for me... And I would miss gatherings...

I'm going to do my best to enjoy my time here, though! That's just sensible.

That's it! A great way of thinking. If you're gonna be in a situation no matter what, you gotta enjoy the situation. Only fret about the parts you can do something about.

[ A beat. ]

Ah. The way you spoke about your home sounded... a bit dire, though. So I assume you're not too unhappy to be here?

[socialchameleon]

Eh, it's what I'm used to. Getting caught in a Catastrophe is bad news, but that's why we have mobile cities. Just stay ahead of the disasters, and you're fine.

[ If you get left behind, or get exiled due to Oripathy quarantine... well, hey, hasn't happened to her yet. ]

This place seems great, though! It's probably too quiet for me to want to live here, but it'll make a nice vacation until this whole situation gets sorted out.

Also, a lot of the people here are super cute. [ Looking directly at Ash as she says that. ]

It sounds difficult, I'm sorry...

[ Well, she does fluster a bit, predictably. ]

-- I won't argue that. There's quite a lot of good looking folk here, even if they can't change shape...

[ Sarajevo tries to keep it cool, but her tail perks up noticeably at that. ]

I didn't know you could change shape.

Of course I can! ... You can't?

Nope! I look like this all the time. What can you turn into?

I see... How unusual.

I'm a sphinx, so just that, and the parts in between.

...Can you show me?

Of course, if you'd like?

[ she gets up and steps away from the table-- the transformation is quick, a blink and you miss it sort of thing-- but after a moment she's on all fours and giving her fur a full-body shake. ]

[socialchameleon]

[ Applause! The transformation is a bit of an anticlimax because it's so fast, but her sphinx form is cool enough to make up for it. ]

Amazing! Ten out of ten stars!

[lionsharing]

[ Pleased, and sits back at the edge of the table, paws politely folded up on the edge of it. ]
