「lvl.2」Video [un: huntersung]
[Jinwoo appears in front of the camera dressed very business casual today with a simple button down dress shirt. He appears as calm as always despite all the weirdness going on with the library recently. And he's going to get right into it today just like last time.]
I'm looking to hire a few people for a couple of positions in a new business. I need someone who can help with research about monsters and different locations around Ellipsa, and someone who can handle client acquisition and social media. It'd help if we're already familiar with each other, but since I haven't really gotten to know that many people yet, it's fine if we're strangers. In that case you'll need to be able to meet up with myself and the other employee- or employees -at least a couple of times to make sure we all get along.
[What else should he cover... There's the usual basic stuff, right?]
Pay is negotiable, so are the hours. I know most of us here are probably already used to weird things, but it would be best if you don't sign up if you consider yourself faint of heart.
[There's gonna be a lot of weird shit you'll see that likely happens at this job, that's for sure.]
If you can offer one but not the other, I'm willing to take on two people instead to fill separate positions. Just respond to this post if you're interested or have questions.
( ooc: Even if the positions seem to fill up, feel free to keep tagging in! I welcome the CR and there's always the possibility of hiring extra, or other positions he hasn't thought of getting filled. )

I'm willing to be a more thorough on what those are, and obviously don't mind meeting in person, either.

I'll be hunting marks for hire and traveling to various areas of Ellipsa, likely dangerous ones, so I'll need information about what sort of monsters, landscapes, or other conditions (like weather, or magic conditions) to expect.
no subject
I can't say that I'm the person for scouting places in person ahead of time, but information gathering in general and putting the information together in a detailed and organized format is my specialty.
no subject
My plan was to have two separate positions for it, so one person wasn't saddled with all of the work. If you take on client acquisition you'll be responsible for getting our name out there, advertising, and maybe bringing new clients in. You'd need to coordinate with the receptionist I hired, too.
I don't want anyone overworked. What would you feel comfortable with?

[And also sees nothing wrong with just announcing this??]
Social media I don't have experience with though.

[He offers a small smile, because of course he remembers her!]
It's fine even if you don't have experience with social media, I can have someone else do that. It helps that I know you're not put off by my shadows. [Just the opposite LOL]
The mental resilience is also a pretty big plus. Are you looking for any particular hours, or salary?
no subject
[And of course she remembers him!]
I can definitely work with your shadows as coworkers, no problem.
Hours and pay... Right now I'm employed at the Research Center, but I'd really rather be out in the field doing stuff. So I could take a part-time position with pay reflecting that, or I could quit that job and work for you full time. Did you know they just let you quit jobs here? Without super murdering you for it? It's wild.
[Intellectually she understands that's the norm in most places and her world is the exception, but it's still weird to her!!]
no subject
Hm... originally I thought it would mostly be desk work, but if you'd rather be out in the field... I'd add hazard pay. Whether you come on with us full time or part time I'd leave up to you. If you like your job with the Research Center and they won't cut into your work for me, part time is fine. If you don't really care then you'll probably make more working full time for me. But there's an extra condition and some details we'll need to talk about when we meet up, if you're serious about field work.
[Once he gets going he tends to keep the cash rolling in, so he's generous with pay.
Man, he really wishes Jinho was here, though. He'd be perfect for this. He handled all the guild's personnel needs back home.
Some guilds have shady history, and there are raid groups who've been known to "terminate contracts" in the middle of a dungeon in exchange for a larger cut. No one can prove any of it because Hunters... so in a way this isn't the weirdest or darkest thing he's ever heard, but also-]
... You won't have worry about that with me. You're free to decide to leave at any time. The only thing I'd ask for is a heads up so that the others aren't caught off guard.

[If only there was a way for Jinwoo to hear about how adored Kaeya really was in Mondstadt and not just because he is one of the Knights. It's embarrassing, really.]
Although, I will admit, I'm not actually all the familiar with social media. As I've mentioned before, Teyvat does not have these sorts of technologies so my way of going about things would be considered more... traditional, I suppose. That said, if there is someone far more suited for the task than I am quite fine gathering intel only. It's something I already do as I take adventurer quests quite often.
no subject
Hey Kaeya.
I have at least one offer to cover the social media side of things, so that likely won't be a problem. Originally I was looking for people to do desk research [His intended meaning seems to have gotten a bit muddled though.] but I have a personal interest in any interesting intel. I also think that could be a good service to offer for clients who might be looking for things like certain materials for crafting.
I could potentially create a position for an Analyst.
Would full-time be fine, if your work meant you were in the field, so to speak, some of the time? Or do you have other obligations that would keep you part-time?
[He's got one other person in mind who might be interested in splitting the work, now that the idea's been planted.]

[A part of him wonders if Shadow plans to ask after a position, too.]
no subject
Hmm. What is the business itself, may I ask? From what you said, it is either hunting monsters via contracts or take people hunting for creatures they wish to hunt themselves. Am I close?
no subject
[That's just not his speed, personally. No particular reason, though if there WAS one it would be past experiences filling in for strike squads.]
I've been putting the idea together since our first conversation.

I cannot work another job because I already have one, but I am curious about what you will be doing.
no subject
I'll be leaning into my strengths and focusing on hunting, gathering, and protection services for non-combatants looking to explore or quest. It seemed like there would be a market for it, and I didn't see any other "otherworlders" with a business like it.
What do you think?
no subject
And because there are still many things in this world I am not used to.
I think this is a wonderful idea Jinwoo.
no subject
Hm...]
Thanks for the vote of confidence. I really appreciate it.
Are you certain, though? I'd be happy to just help out once in a while.

Does your business have a name yet?
no subject
Ahjin Hunting. I borrowed it from my guild back home. Both are named after my little sister.
How's it sound?
no subject
[ A shame that Lynette would immediately veto him if he ever tried to name something after her. ]
I hope you'll remember the little guys like myself once you make it big.
no subject
[Plus it wasn't that long ago that he was a little guy himself! Not that he really thinks Lyney is a "little guy". He's sure that with that shrewd mind of his he's more than capable of achieving what he sets his mind to within the time frame he sets for himself.
But this will make it easier to gather useful information in the field, something he'd considered when putting it all together.]
