Since werewolves have seemed to become a problem.

I'm offering anyone who needs silver added to their weapons the service free of charge. I can also forge a new weapon out of it if you need it, I made sure to buy a lot once I read the quest.

I'm located in Sunwaning, at the Volcanus forge. You just need to tell me you need a way to fight against the werewolves and I'll deal with it.

I guess bullets would continue to do damage if they're locked inside the werewolf. But swords may be faster, if you manage to cut them properly.

It's not the werewolves that I'm worried about. Even if I weren't sure of myself, I wouldn't need more than my faith in this sword.

[Much like Shoto, Hijijata shows up at the forge, though he doesn't even send a message first. Jean has definitely seen him with his new hairstyle over the last month (he had to try several strong gels before he found one that reliably kept his fringe out of his face!), and his clearly visible slight frown only underlines his determination.]

I hope you aren't swamped by people taking you up on your network offer yet. Can you give Mayonakataiyou a silver coating?

[Sure enough, it's the sword Jean made and gifted him for Christmas, the "sibling" of Shoto's... he gave it a long-ass name!!]

I already enhanced it and equipped it with another add-on, Sebonzakura, but it's only fitting that it's the one that gets to go to Wolf's Blood Mountain.

[The last time, he used his shortswords in lieu of fangs and claws... but this time, he's vowed to not let himself go into a frenzy, much as his near-invincible werebeast state would help against the powerful werewolves. After all, that's what made him lose sight of Jean back then.]

[Not the werewolves that he's worried about, eh. Jean can guess what the real answer is, but he doesn't say it.

He, in turn, is different from what Shoto usually sees of him. Of course, he has shown his more serious side, but there's something more storming beneath. It's probably not completely unexpected. The whole werewolf subject has been a thorn on his side, after all.

But he's careful in handling the sword. Since he made it, he's completely aware of how to work the silver on it. It wouldn't need much, just enough to matter.]

Not yet. I've mostly worked on the gear blades.

[Jean isn't at all surprise for the lack of message. Hijikata is always welcome to come to the forge unannounced anyway.

Perhaps later he wold be touched that the sword he made would be the one Hijikata used for this revenge trip. Right now, he's more focused on making the preparations.

But he does have one less serious comment.]

I am. I already have one patch of blades made. I wasn't sure about the measurements, so I made a few different sized so you can see if any of them are right.

[Relius nods and looks to the blades. He looks them over for a moment, taking three daggers and looking them over.]

These I should find sufficient. Yes. Well crafted as well. You certainly have a talent for it.

It means 'midnight sun'. I called it that for the colours you gave it. It'll be the unexpected light in the dark!

[Jean probably chose the black and gold because it's the Shinsengumi's colours, but what are their blades if not gleams that cut through the cover of darkness, exposing criminal ongoings! (And here, Jean may have thought that it had to do with mayonnaise...) It does seem like dark days are coming for Ellipsa.]

The gear blades, though? Is the whole Survey Corps coming?
