{The chiming! He is already smiling before Hua Cheng touches him. He doesn't have to look. He knows his husband. His lingering unease dissipates in a rush, a cloud of nonsense that no longer matters.}

San Lang, where were you hiding? {A laugh blooms in his chest and he holds up the ring.} I knew you were nice and safe.

[ He chuckles quietly and holds his beloved closer. ]

I would never presume to hide from my beloved. He is much too wise.
