video: un: jean | cw/tw: mentions of child ghost/death
[The video opens to show Jean. He has a slightly more serious than usual expression. Before he says anything though, Mukuro's voice comes from behind the camera:]
Okay, it’s recording- 26th August, Year Unknown. 21:55.
Starting Abandoned Castle recon mission briefing.
[Jean doesn't seem confused or awkward about it. It's what Mukuro does. Instead, he focuses on the information he's about to share.]
So, Mukuro and I encountered something in the woods south of the Abandoned Castle that's on the border of summer and autumn segments. It was cellar under the castle, but it seems like the exits were blocked of - it was pure chance we found our way there -- though a pitfall trap.
There we found a magical circle similar to the one at the Lake of Healing or... [Give him a moment to take the name in. He knows it was changed and why, but it was still a little hard to think about.] at Lake Hange, as it's now called.
[It's a certain level of fondness that he says the name with, even if it hurts.]
We met a ghost of a young kid. A boy named Elliott Beaumont, the second son of the royal family of the Beaumont Castle. He used to be an autumn power holder and he was asked to hide until things blew over and they... did not.
[Hence why he was still there.]
Apparently, his brother - Lucas Beaumont - was the power holder who started the 'Tragedy', but it was most likely not his idea. Instead, the idea was probably instilled into him by a man who called himself "Pierrot". He won Lucas to his side by praise and showing great interest in his summer power holder abilities. They experimented in secret until Elliott told their parents and Lucas ran to the jungles with Pierrot to continue testing things in peace. Only a few days later, the Tragedy began.
[Jean sincerely hopes this Pierrot is just one of the villains they know and not another new one they need to find and deal with, but he leaves that unsaid. Mukuro, meanwhile, talks again.]
We got a description of the Pierrot. Male, tall, long brown hair and green eyes. Carrying a staff with a dreamcatcher design. Large, distinctive ring and green robes.
[Jean nods in confirmation of the information and then moves onto the last thing he was meant to say.]
We promised to Elliott we would ask if there's a winter power holder who could lead his soul into afterlife, so he could be reunited with his family. He did what he could, telling us everything he knew. He deserves the rest. We're happy lead someone who can do this there.
[Before ending the video, Mukuro adds one final thing:]
Over and out.
[ooc: replies will come from either Jean or Mukuro (
corpsewarblade) or both.]

[Of course, it's valuable information that his sworn siblings uncovered, but that's his main takeaway here!!]

[He's not happy about the recent mind-control incidents, all the less since he himself has no defence against that kind of magic whatsoever!]
no subject
[He hasn't heard anything about that.]
no subject
[And that's not going to happen on his watch - never mind that he's really easy to mind-control!]

[He remembers that fight well. ... mostly because he had to quit in the middle of it because of his werewolf transformation.]
Do you think they might corrupted by the Darkness or if they're just idiots?

[However...]
If these guys are brainwashed and still able to mind-control other people, that could spiral out of control really fast, so I hope they're just moronic Doctor fans.

[If only they could ask these questions from the Doctor himself, huh?]
I sure hope they're jsut fanatics.

[He's not going to go out looking for information, but you know. He could hear things just randomly.]
