I'm not sure? I've never really thought about being a woman. Wind Master was always so happy when he changed.

[ One breath and the next, Hua Cheng brings himself to his beloved and wraps his arms around that slender waist. ]

I don't care about the Wind Master. Do you worry about me while you're in this form? You have no need to.

{His heart flutters and he reveals that, once again, he has no defense against Hua Cheng. He leans into him and takes a moment to gather his courage. Oh he can see wars through and fight demons, but this is new territory.}

[ Xie Lian never needs a defense against Hua Cheng. He treasures how his beloved leans against him, how he seems to take comfort and courage from his touch. ]

Never. Shall I show you?

[ Claim this form of his beloved? Oh yes! How could he even consider turning away! ]

{There is no one he loves more or trusts better. Xie Lian's posture relaxes and he begins to smile, blushing at how far back he has to tilt his head to see Hua Cheng's perfect, precious face.}

So you would have still liked me if I was a princess?

[ And his heart is stolen all over again. Hua Cheng shifts his hold so he can scoop his beloved up and hold her close, compensating easily for the added height difference. ]

Yes. It's your heart and soul, your spirit, that I love best. Your physical beauty is just a bonus.

{He makes a soft sound of surprise and then melts over Hua Cheng, hugging onto him. Now that he can reach that beloved face, he presses kisses over Hua Cheng's cheeks and forehead.}

Mm I know what you mean. If San Lang was a lovely maiden, I would love her.

[ He smiles at how his love melts into him. And those kisses! He answers each one! ]

I can change my form too, if my beloved wishes it?

[ Anything at all for his Xie Lian. ]

{Now he flushes harder!}

{But he is clearly interested and he presses a warm kiss to Hua Cheng's lips.}

[ A wolfish grin meets that dark flush and he answers that warm kiss before bringing them to their cozy home. ]

[ All Hua Cheng needed was Xie Lian's interest! Up the stairs he walks, still holding his husband safe...and...changes his form with ease. Has he done this before? No, but he's thought about it more than once! His height doesn't change, just the shape of him shifts to accommodate breasts and just a little wider in the hips. His face takes on just a slightly gentler, feminine shape as well. ]

{Xie Lian knows, without a single doubt, that he will be attracted to any form his San Lang takes. After all, he has seen good-looking men and women before and felt nothing. Yet when he thinks of Hua Cheng batting long eyelashes at him and gaining curves, all he can think about is kissing him silly!}

How lovely! {He gasps and dares to nuzzle against those new breasts, smiling.} You're so pretty. We will need to be careful and not let many see you.

{Or he might get jealous.}

[ Just as Hua Cheng has been surrounded by plenty of beautiful men and women and felt nothing for them. Only his Xie Lian holds his focus.

The praise at his new form has him flush and his breath catches at the nuzzling, arching just a little into the touch in encouragement. Only his commitment to never dropping his beloved keeps Xie Lian from falling.

Then he chuckles and gets them to their bed before sitting down, setting his beloved...yep. Right back in his lap for more cuddles. ]

{His Ghost King could have anyone he wanted. Yet Hua Cheng chose to find him and help him time after time after time. Xie Lian had thought his heart much too old to fall in love, but with his San Lang, it's like breathing. Of course he loves him. He has always loved him.

Mm. {The position San Lang chooses is his favorite, but he takes it a bit further, turning himself and wrapping his legs around Hua Cheng's waist.}

[ Hua Cheng had fallen in love with His Highness Xie Lian back when he was ten. What's eight hundred years or so? His love and devotion had only grown stronger when Xie Lian had told him to live for him.

He supports Xie Lian's movement and smiles at the new, perfect position, tugging him even closer and claims another kiss. ]

I don't care about riches. I only want you.

{His sweet little Hónghóng-er had fallen, literally, into his arms and Xie Lian had been fond of him immediately. If only circumstances hadn't been so busy and so tense! He had wanted to do so much more for him - especially after he found out he was being bullied. The first godly rules he had broken were all for his little friend - a way of reminding him that he was never, ever truly alone.

San Lang's lap is the perfect place to perch! Xie Lian blushes shyly and gently traces the shape of, first, his breasts, and then Hua Cheng's.}

If I was offered every kingdom, every temple and all of the riches they hold, I would choose San Lang over them. It's not even a close call.

Oh, that's cool! Wow, everyone is trying out shapeshifting these days, huh?

[Rinku's gone giraffe mode again, ears and horns poking out of her hair and tail swishing behind.]

I'm not...comfortable. I had a friend who loved being female. I guess I was trying to understand him better.

Hmm. I guess that makes sense. Some people really don't like changing. But some people are really happy with it, and others wanna try out everything! Like I like trying out all my animal transformations, but I haven't tried too much else... hmm, come to think of it, would being a guy be fun? Now I kinda wanna try too and see if I like it or not.

Technically they're not horns, they're ossicones, but a lot of animals with horns aren't real horns anyway. Like rhinos. It gets a little confusing with what officially counts.

Oh! {He beams happily. Yes, very cute! Just like he thought~}

Ah yes, ossicones. What makes them differ from horns? The difference can't be great.

Horns don't have skin or fur on them! And ossicones only fuse to the skull when the giraffe grows up, I think.

That's true! {The ghosts with horns follow that rule too now that he thinks about it.} Are they just ornamental, then? Used for mating?

They do still use them to fight! Usually the guys, though, they kinda pick fights with each other more often. So if you see a giraffe with fluffier horns, it's probably a female, and the male ones usually have more worn-down fur there.
