Everyone who's been to other worlds across the multiverse needs to know about the Potion of Lost Powers that Riki is selling!! I bought one a week ago, and I have my death magic from Avalon back! I can see ghosts again - and exorcise them, too!

[Coming from someone who got scared shitless in pretty much every haunted house Ellipsa's ever had, this delight seems out of place... but in truth, ghosts are a lot less scary if he can do something about them!]

Next, I'm aiming for the Potion of New Powers... any of you guys who know Wendy, be prepared for another Dragon Slayer!! Well, if it works out, that is.

[He better not be denied for not having a dragon mentor... but Wendy seemed optimistic, so he will be, too!]

[After all, he was close to the other timeline's Emet-Selch on Avalon, and hell if that version of him didn't have a whole bunch of aces up his sleeves! He has no reason to doubt that this one is any different.]

Though should others wish to expand the abilities available to them, I see no harm in it. It will provide versatility, if naught else.

Come to think... not all of your abilities are unique to you, are they? I recall there being multiple people in your society who were able to create living things from aether, for instance.

I've already decided on the Dragon Slayer magic, but if you and/or your fellow countrymen here were to give their blessing for others to attain such powers, that'd give us a huge boon!

There were. But even among those of my own world, few would be able to wield such powers now. It requires much of the caster. More than most of the current day are able to afford.

I see. So there are prerequisites and drawbacks.

[It's no wonder, really. Powers like that don't just fall into random people's lap... not usually, in any case. While he's going another path, he's nonetheless curious - not least out of a faint sense of concern, much as he knows that Emet-Selch can well take care of himself.]

All spells require aether. Creation magicks are no different, for all that they require more than what one might find among most magic commonly represented here. I - and the rest of people - are possessed of sufficient stores of aether that even creation magic is not a significant drain under most circustances. But those that exist on my world now possess smaller stores of aether. As would many here, I suspect.

I wonder how the Potion of New Powers is going to handle things like that - whether the user gets an "upgrade" or what. Dragon Slayers are normally taught their magic by dragons, so I reckon I'll report back on how that works out for me.

[If the potion were to bestow massive amounts of aether upon aspiring creator mages, that'd be one of many game changers! But that's a big "if".]

I would assume it merely assigns the powers. Regardless of whether or not one might be able to use them.

I really hope this works as well as we hope...

[Between Emet-Selch's and Inaba's considerations, he's starting to doubt whether such cases were indeed included in the potion's testing! But one way or the other, they'll know before long.]
