Went gift shopping today, debating whether to get this for myself. On the one hand, speaking as a (former?) employee of Lobotomy Corporation, I think it's hilarious. On the other hand, it might prompt questions like 'why do you own that', 'why was your job named Lobotomy Corporation', and 'did they actually do lobotomies there'. Which I don't mind answering, but literally any time my job comes up it'll probably depress the other person in the conversation, so.

Thoughts?

They had to pick an L name, because of how the City works - they became a Wing after the old L Corp fell, so they got to be the new L Corp. Why lobotomy specifically... well, Abnormalities come from the human psyche, so I guess it's sort of related? Kind of?

So all the Abnormalities were actually born from feelings? I guess in a world like that, no wonder they'd be scary...

From fears, usually. I don't think they're all scary, though... Even if they can hurt people without meaning to.

Do they come from just general fears? Is it a Chainsaw Man thing where there's one made out of fear of tomatoes and that one's not very scary because not very many people are scared of those, and then there's one made out of fear of guns and that one's super dangerous?

Hard to say? Some of them it's pretty clear what emotion they're from, but most of them it's harder to tell. They do vary in strength and danger level, though.

Have you met One Sin and Hundreds of Good Deeds? They have a job at Lucy and Charlie's hotel now.

Oh! The skull guy! They look a little scary, but they seem really nice. What do they do?

You confess your sins to them and they heal a little bit of your mental damage. That's all they do.

Yeah, I remember you telling me about that! I guess it'd really help with whatever job they have at the therapy hotel.

That's why I suggested it to them! They're a little hard to read, but I think they like helping people.

I think most people would! And it seems like a lot of people need it, huh...

Yeah. I've been thinking about maybe looking into getting therapy myself, too?

Really? That's great! I hope you can get everything that makes you happy! The people here really care if you're hurt or scared.

They really do! It's weird. But nice?

Yeah... I mean, I don't feel like it's weird, but sometimes I feel bad if they say stuff like "maybe you shouldn't fight" when they find out I don't like to hurt people.

I can understand why they say that. Hurting people's hard to avoid when it comes to fighting.

1. I used to work at a company called Lobotomy Corporation, which sucked.

2. They had to pick an L name because of how the City works, and since their focus was in energy generation through work with monsters formed from the human psyche - sometimes violent work - I guess they figured it was appropriate? I don't know, I have no idea who decided to name it that.

3. No, we didn't do actual lobotomies.

This might just be my point of view, but I think being scared of something and doing it anyway takes more bravery than not being scared of it at all.
