Life's best spent living, I think! Not avoiding trying things because you're worried you'll regret them.

I wish I had met you earlier, however I think, in my case, the regret is well-earned.

There are a couple things I do regret. I don't think anyone is really capable of not ever screwing up in their lifetimes.

Mine... wasn't strictly accidental either. But I didn't know it was as bad as it was, because at home it was considered normal and no big deal.

{Qiuhua wiggles in cute surprise before licking Hua Cheng's nose~ Xie Lian is sprawled out on his back in the grass with a book on his belly.}

You're talking about yourself! {He shifts the book and sits up, blades of grass in his hair.} However I don't mind being selfish with you.

[ He chuckles fondly at the cute little Eevee and kisses the top of their head before taking a seat beside his beloved. ]

Is that not correct? All I am and have is yours.

[ A grin sharpens his smile and he leans in. ]

{The Eevee coos her name and bounds off after a butterfly, pawing at the air, tail extra poofy. Xie Lian can't stop himself from beaming. Oh what lovely company he has~}

The opposite is true too. All that I am and have belongs to San Lang!

{He thinks for a moment and makes his move, pressing against his beloved and climbing onto his lap.}

I am claiming your time.

[ Hua Cheng has become fond of the little creature! And he's glad his husband has a little companion so playful. He smiles at being told the same is true in reverse - to have Xie Lian's love is everything to him.

But then! His love climbs into his lap and stakes his claim on Hua Cheng's time. He chuckles softly and wraps his arms possessively around his husband as he makes his lap a comfortable perch. ]

My time is yours.

{She really is a sweetheart and Xie Lian enjoys watching her blossom. When she had been little, cold and wet, shivering under a bush outside, he had worried she wouldn't make it. Now she's strong and lively!

The strong arms around his waist have him shuddering, pleasure warming in his belly. He really is spoiled by his husband and he knows it. That's why he refuses to let him go - physically (now) and metaphorically!}

Let's take a small trip, hm? Just us.

[ Feeling that shudder, Hua Cheng smirks and nuzzles his husband's neck. He doesn't want Xie Lian to ever even try to let go! In any way.

The suggestion has him adjust his hold, one arm slipping under Xie Lian's legs, then he stands up. Carrying his beloved is easy, and he loves being strong enough to do so. ]

Where do you want to go?

{He gives himself over to his husband, wrapping his arms around Hua Cheng's neck and nudging his nose against the dark, soft hair. Color creeps up his face at the thought of being seen like this, but he doesn't move. This is... Theirs.}

Spring. Right at the edge of Winter. It's okay if there's rain.

But look at it this way: no one plays a perfect game. If we can anticipate mistakes, we can keep them from being too dire. But if we go in blind, naive, convinced that good intentions will protect us...

Surely you have no mistakes-cum-crimes to speak of.

Once, I was blind, naive and quite convinced of the good in others. I paid for it dearly until I learned the lesson. I don't want to be the sort of person that distrusts everyone, but I am cautious. I know to take things slow and keep my eyes open.

Condolences? Congratulations? You got the lesson out of it, and I don't think it's the kind of thing you can learn from theory.

It's funny to be on the receiving end of "you're too recent for that", for a change. Mahjong? Older than that? (I've heard of 'Go', but I don't know how it's played).
