Hello everyone. My name is Makoto Tachibana.
[Makoto was outside at Blossomcrown park, behind him was another young man playing with three small dogs, a big golden retriever/german shepherd mix, and a PokΓ©mon called Furfrou.]
This isn't our first rodeo here, having been to two other worlds before. I'm from a pretty non-magical world so I don't really have much to offer outside of these new powers. But I can offer swim lessons! It's what I was doing before all this happened. Kids or adults, everyone should learn to swim. I live in Nightwake at the moment so that'll be my main area of teaching but if there's a pool near you and you'd prefer it, I can certainly come to you.
Anyway, hit me up either here or privately, whichever you prefer.

But what I mean is... things are always changing. Don't discount yourself today for what you might be able to do tomorrow. You know? I've done so many things I would have never thought I could.

It also opens up a lot of opportunities for you in the recreational areas like playing certain water based sports, simply playing in the water with friends and family, and it's even a tool used for rehabilitation for injuries. It's a very versatile skill.

I've been with my partner for so long, I've gotten used to saying my name in the Western order. Tachibana is my family name, yes. If you prefer to call me how you would from your culture, I'm alright with that, Xiao-san.
[He could understand the confusion, nevermind when it was entirely different worlds! This man's name sounded Chinese, so he assumed he got that correct. Hopefully? Oh dear.]
As far as I know, the pool is public and free to get in. Just have to be mindful of the other people also there. I'm going to work with the staff to schedule a time for swim lessons though, that way it doesn't interfere with anyone trying to enjoy the water.

I say stick with what's comfortable for you. It isn't very hard to explain that culturally, some prefer saying their family name first.
Oh, they wear swimsuits. Most stores have a section dedicated towards swim wear for men and women. If you're too uncomfortable with showing that much skin, though, there are other swim suits that cover more but they're found more in the sports aisle of the stores.
[Makoto put a hand to his chin. He couldn't really tell when this person was from, relatively speaking, but it had to be from a long time ago if he didn't know what was worn in a pool.]

I might be willing to wear mm...pants? Is that what trousers are called in the modern era?
I was taught to be...humble...with my appearance and spirit. I don't know if wandering about half nude would meet my Master's approval.

Well, the thing is is even though there are looser fitted suits, they will get wet and cling to the body.
[Makoto felt a little bad for the guy, to be so embarrassed by this! But he also understood that this was all due to a different time and place.]
Would the material clinging to you also cause your Master's disapproval? If not, then the form fitting kind should be doable, although we can certainly look for the kind that fit a bit loosely on the body.

I don't know. When I swam on her mountain, I wore nothing at all. Of course, in those moments, I was either with my fellow brothers or alone.
It doesn't hurt to look? Do you mind accompanying me?
