How do you tell the difference between romantic love and platonic love?

Everything is a science thing if you're more comfortable looking at things as science things.

Good feelings might happen! Being in love is supposed to be pretty nice? But panic first.

I think it's nice! Except when you feel bad about it, like if someone doesn't like you back or someone tells you "why would you think about trying to date everyone anyway, that's dumb and selfish" but like I mean --

I don't think so. It kinda felt like it a long time ago, and I dwelled on it a bunch, but maybe they were just trying to help.

Most of them probably were. It is pretty impractical to try to date everyone, you wouldn't have enough time to split between all of them.

That's probably true, and I wouldn't have thought of it. But for a while, I thought people just didn't want to understand. Like how everyone always thinks I can't actually mean it and must not get what love means if I say I don't have one special person. I thought it'd be better 'cause there's people with three or five or eight or something.

I guess they think you've mistaken it for friend love? And even you said the two were pretty close together.

Yeah, they are... I don't think that means people shouldn't believe me when I say I feel something, though. Even if they don't get it. I don't get lots of things other people do, and they still do them.

People are dumb sometimes. Especially about feelings. I should know, I'm very dumb about feelings.

I guess but I'm also asking people how to figure out if I'm in love with anyone when other people just figure it out themselves somehow??

Maybe it's hard for lots of people. I dunno. But I bet it'll be fine. Hm... maybe people are just better giving advice than knowing about themselves!
