[ The video begins with Reiner (tall, blond, handsome, serious-looking) standing in front of a small curio shop with various stone and wood sculptures on display in the window. The sculptures are all well-made and unique, clearly created by hand. ]

Hey, everyone. For those who don't know me, I'm Reiner Braun. I've been here for a long time. And I'm here to announce the grand opening of my shop.

[ He pans up to show the sign: BraunSphere. ]

I'm selling little trinkets and stuff. I'm also selling amulets with defensive properties. Only defensive; don't ask me about offensive enchantments.

[ He pans the camera back down, showing off the merchandise in the window. It's quite an impressive display! ]

If you find something you like but it doesn't quite suit, I do take custom orders. And if you like Amberfall and you'd wanna work at a place like this, let me know. I'm hiring. Full or part-time, your choice.

Despite it, though, he's more than happy to take that hand for a good, firm handshake. His hand is as warm as any other person's might be, even though it's made of metal.]

... Mostly. He's not even sure what kind of embarrassing things Evangeline would have to say about him, really...]

[ Chipp may notice that Reiner's hand runs warmer than the average human, though not alarmingly so. He smiles up at Chipp, open and friendly. ]

No, nothing embarrassing. She mentioned that you're her boyfriend. I've been eager to meet you.

[ And see if any shovel talks were in order… But Chipp seems like a decent guy so far. ]

But that warmth is definitely something Chipp notes for himself; his metal hand can't feel much, but warmth is something he made sure it'd be able to sense, with how much molten metal he deals with back home.
And warm hands just feel... friendlier, somehow.]

Awww, she already talkin' 'bout us, huh? Guess I ain't too surprised; she seems real jazzed about the whole thing!

And ouais, yeah, of course -

[That magic of his will swing the little statue around for Reiner to take and look at, holding it in the air for him otherwise.
It almost looks like there's no soldering to it - as if all the scrap metal that went into it just melded together somehow. Everything's clean and precise down to the smallest detail... even including how much rust he's taken off some of its parts.]

Cute li'l guy, ain't it? Figured you'd wanna see one o' the small ones first; they'd be easier to sell than the big ones.

[ Reiner leans in, peering at the little figurine. He moves his head to observe it from different angles, his expression impressed. ]

I'm not expert, but this looks fantastic. I'd be happy to help you sell them.

[From the grin on his screen, he seems surprised by Reiner's assessment - surprised, but pleased, too.]

... 'S only so good 'cause I got the magic for it, though. Magic from home.
Powerful shit, lets me mold this stuff like clay.

[Just for funsies, he'll show the other what he means - violet light collects around the little dog statue, and just as if it were as soft as dough, he's able to use his hands to pinch its ears into a longer, floppier shape.]

Without this, prolly just look like a heap of scrap 'n solder. It'd still look kinda cool, but, y'know... not 'zactly a dog.

[ Reiner tips his head to the side. ]

Using magic doesn't make it any less creative. It just speeds things up. And it means your basement fills up a lot quicker.

[ He gives a knowing smile, then gestures to their surroundings. ]

I made these using my Autumn powers. It started as practice, then became a hobby. Now it's … sort of like a passion, I guess. I want to share them with people. So, I opened this place.

[Aaaand now that big grin on his screen is starting to go from gold to a little pink, as if he's blushing... compliments on his work (or even just kind observations) aren't something he's used to, after all.
Creative, huh... he really feels like he's just making use of materials that can't be used otherwise, considering his statues are all made of scrap.]

O-ouais, I can tell you doin' real good at it...! 'S a good idea, givin' yourself a way to share ya passion with others.
It all looks nice, too. I feel like you gonna be a real hit 'round here, soon enough.

But, ehh... how're you with metal? Makin' stuff out of it, I mean; I figure you got the magic side down easy, enchantin' it and stuff.

[ Reiner smiles as that smile turns pink, but declines to comment. He doesn't want to turn that pleased embarrassment into something else! ]

It's still fairly new to me, [ Reiner readily admits. ] I haven't played with metal as much, so I don't have anything on display.

But I can do custom orders in metal. I can create the metal itself, too, so you don't have to worry about imperfections.

Aw, naw, see, that there is why I was offerin'! I mean... 's real nice o' ya to offer up a spot to sell my stuff in here...
I know you gonna want a cut of the profits, 'course, 'n that works pretty good as a payment, but, y'know -

Until you feel confident with your own metal shapin' abilities, you can bring stuff to me, 'n I'll shape it for ya. If ya want, I mean; just an offer.

[Mostly because Chipp is, perhaps, too nice and not used to this kind of generosity, even with the knowledge that they'll be sharing profits.

But that's also followed by a short pause in thought.]

... Might wanna buy straight-up metal offa ya someday, too. Most o' the material I get is from junkyards 'n thrift shops, y'know how it is.

[ Reiner's brows twitch together. ]

I wasn't gonna ask for profits. I was gonna ask that, if you decide to reopen your shop sometime, you put some of my pieces on display. We could help each other out like that.

[ He exhales a little laugh, scratching his cheek. ]

Probably not the smartest business move, is it? But, that's what I was gonna ask.

[- Chipp blinks a bit, eye widening as if a brow his screen doesn't have just went way toward his hairline in surprise.]

No, I mean, I'm okay with that too... but I can't expect ya to hold my stuff in your shop without givin' you a cut, no, even if I do sell some o' your pieces at my own shop.
You pay rent for the whole space don'tcha?

I'm good with that deal anyway, 'course, no matter what we do with the money - I like supportin' friends, 'n any friend of Eveé is a friend o' mine.
'S just, y'know...

[He's not sure his non-existent, dead heart could handle knowing he's taking up space that could be put toward merchandise that actually brings in money for Reiner's shop.
Just not used to that kind of generosity at all.]

[ Reiner spends a second studying Chipp's face, his body language, the hesitancy in his tone. Then he nods. ]

If you're more comfortable with me taking a cut, that's what we can do. I'll put it toward rent. How's that?

[ Reiner knows he's an overbearing person at times—all Brauns are—but he doesn't want to force his generosity down Chipp's throat, so to speak. So he's attempting to back off a little. ]

It's like you said: any friend of Evangeline's is a friend of mine.

Oh, no, it ain't that I ain't comfortable, I'm just, ehhh...

[... Another pause of thought, this time having to look up at the ceiling somewhere as if he's really unsure of what he just said.]

I mean... I think that ain't it? Maybe. It's, uh - 's hard to...

...

[And then he shakes his head, face scrunched.]

- Whatever! Even if I am, don't you worry 'bout it, ouais?
Matters more to me that you get what you owed, lettin' someone use a spot in your shop like that.

[Feelings are hard and difficult! He'll unpack whatever he's feeling later. Maybe.]

[ Reiner immediately understands why Evangeline ordered the item that she did. ]

All right, [ he says, nodding. ] It's a deal.

[ He holds out his hand to shake again. ]

[Well... at least this means Reiner's getting firsthand experience for why he needs it!
Because Chipp has... a lot of problems with emotions and feelings. A lot of them.

But when he takes Reiner's hand to return that handshake, it's with another smile spreading out on that screen of his, at least!]

Ouais, it's a deal! I'll bring in more o' those figures over the next week or so... and you can decide the price.
I got no clue what they worth, me; figure you'd know best, since ya got all this other stuff priced out good.

[ Reiner shakes Chipp's hand, nodding firmly. ]

Don't worry; I'll take care of it.

[ And he will! He'll put them up for reasonable prices that still earn both Chipp (and the store) a decent profit. He'll also display them prominently, helping to ensure that they sell. ]
