The events of last month sure were a thing, huh. But because of what happened, I suppose I have to ask if anybody here knows how to fight blindly and is willing to teach me at all. You know, in one of those training montages?

Also if any newly turned vampires need any assistance with anything, I'm offering my services as a Trailblazer who's done package deliveries; I have no blood in me, so you don't have to worry about like, accidentally attacking me for blood. Just kinda... found about that part recently.

Great. Our house has a training hall that will be good for practicing. Which season are you?

I'm glad you're okay with it. Do you at least know how it might have happened?

Spring.

And no idea. It doesn't seem to be something I was born with...

Spring can work. Every season has it's little quirks that you can use for this purpose.

That's so strange. So you remember bleeding once and now it's different? I've had amnesia lots of times before but my body never changed.

I actually don't remember bleeding at all, but someone told me that I felt different...

So it might have been that something happened and I just didn't notice it.

Oh, I see. So something happened and you don't know what. Is that disconcerting?

I'm not really bothered by it?

I'm just curious.

Understandably so.

You deal with amnesia much better than I ever did.

Do you have a particular reason you'd like to learn to fight blind, or is it just a skill advancement?

[starwill]

If something like what happened last month happens again, I need to be able to still fight.

My normal eyes can't see in the dark very well, and even my animal transformation doesn't entirely help too much.

Makes sense. I've been here since the first crop of otherworlders and it's the first time, so hopefully it won't happen much. But fighting blind is a great skill regardless.
You never know.

I've been here for a while and it seems like lately there's been more active efforts to hinder us.

There was that one place that basically nullified our abilities, in fact.

Besides, it's better to be overprepared.

There was a place that nullified our abilities? Sorry for the silly question, I haven't been going out much for a while. [ She had a bad year. ]

Yeah.

And it's not silly. I can't expect anyone to be everywhere or know everything.

I couldn't even use my hat to fight! It was sad!

Were the seasonal abilities nullified too? Because I know that the darkness can do that.

[starwill]

They were; it's why I've been practicing not using my abilities for stuff.

That's very concerning.

Well, I'm happy to help. Fighting is what I'm best at. What do you usually use to fight with, a weapon or just your body?

[starwill]

I kinda use a variety of weapons, but I've also been a coach for someone who fights with their fists.

[sangreine]

I'm also good with a variety of weapons, I prefer a sword for sentimental reasons but I'll adjust to anything you like. Our training room has tons of things for you to practice on if you don't have your own.

I'd definitely like to try using everything in my arsenal, at least.

Different things need different needs, as they say.

I don't usually have any training items since I've been using the Tuskpir for that, mostly.
