[Well, seeing the demon mention in the network is as good as time as any for Jinu to make the question.
Should he introduce himself...? Nah. He might as well just get to the point. He's not posing as an idol this time.]
What are demons to you? Do they exist where you're from? How about what you make of the ones in this world?
[Sincerely, your friendly neighborhood Pop Idol Demon.
Also are those a blue tiger and a three-eyed magpie in a hat behind him? Why yes.]
[OOC: Please let me know if you'd rather have me avoid any kind of Kpop Demon Hunters spoilers and I will continue to mark them in this post if they come up.]

Back home? I'm one of those "there's only one in every generation" types, which comes with the title Vampire Slayer but it includes all sorts of demons and everything else too, so really not just vampires. It's a really misleading title... But yes, they both and countless of others exist.
[Other what? Species, creatures, evil things, whatever anyone wants to call them. And she's definitely not the only one Slayer anymore. Hasn't been in a while but now there are so many more of them.]
Here? Mehhh, I'm ret-- No, let's not go with that word. [Retired? Makes her sound really old, she's in her early 20s.] We'll just call this my endless summer vacation and I'll let demons, and everything else live here as long as they're not a problem, there are way more than enough creatures and everything to defeat on quests if I ever want to go back to anything like what I do back home.
[Okay, she'll just leave the what are they to her question to... another reply maybe.]
no subject
Honestly, if you have the skills, why settle with just one species that causes trouble.
[If they had vampires or such they'd probably be dealt by the hunters too to be honest. Anything supernatural that the world doesn't know about... or at least shouldn't learn about.]
I'm sure the local demons are glad for your summer vacation. Though it does sound like some are creating havoc.

[SURELY THAT WOULD NEVER EVER HAPPEN WITH ANY (EVEN ACCIDENTAL) HELP FROM HER!!]
But there's also one amazing exception to them, who also lives in the LA of my home world these days.
[. . . Moving on before she starts missing her too much.]
There are demons here?! H u h. I haven't seen them, so I guess I'll let you know what I make of them after I've at least seen them.
[And excuse you, but she can see that tiger and the bird.]
Wow, what a cute kitty! And hey, cute bird, you look so stylish with the hat.
no subject
[Hey Gwi-ma, can you follow his example? Just go party somewhere and leave the demons alone. Well, he supposed he left instead. Oh well.]
Apparently. At least that's what that Winter Guild person mentioned. There could be otherworlder demons too.
[Not him, of course- Except if someone asks him he's likely just gonna shrug and confirm it by this point.
Derpy lifts his head up and looks at the strange device, blinking with his big eyes. Sussie on the other hand just smirks. See Jinu? The hat suits the bird.]
That still doesn't excuse you for stealing.

It is possible to purify the demons though. Usually if you get the original demon, it'll purify those they made.
Now I have met many demons from other worlds and demon seems to be a term that gets a lot more generalized definition than a lot of other magical creatures.
You say unicorn, and you're going to get an equine with a horn and magic at minimum. Harpy, get a mix of bird and person. Mermaid, underwater person.
Demons, however, can range from just being literally another creature in a world to a dead soul that's been corrupted somehow to a manifestation of evil itself. They do all seem to have at least some kind of supernatural enhancement, whether it be magic or physical enhancement. What seems the most consistent is they usually have some kind of bad reputation.
It varies wildly how warranted it is.
I haven't met the demons in this world, I'd need to meet them first to make a call.
no subject
I haven't heard of anyone returning to their normal form after becoming demon. That sounds merciful.
I don't know how they use the word here, but I guess that's something to discover on the road. But with how many different demons there are, it doesn't surprise me that the word itself has become an umbrella term.

Once I would have thought them monsters bent on harming or perhaps even devouring humans. But my mind has been broadened and I see that they too can be kind; they too can feel and be reasoned with.
I think everyone should be given a chance.

Things would probably be a little different if they were speaking in person.]
They exist. They're Hell's foot soldiers. [And they are, for the most part, entirely disposable.]
I have no issues with them... though they tend to stay away from me. The ones here have been far more bold.
no subject
Foot soldiers sounds about right.
[Not Hell's but Gwi-ma's. What did that make him? A commander? ... nah, probably just a foot soldier with special privileges.]
How come?

Blue cat. I love your blue cat... Did you... come here with it? Or... did you... find one here?
[She then seems to realize that it would be rude to talk about the tiger without answering his question.]
There were no demons...where I came from...And as for the ones here...I do not know if I have met any...But people should be treated...on a case by case basis...regardless of what they are...should they not?
no subject
Speaking of Derpy he looks straight at the camera and blinks slowly. As if trying to process something.]
He's my friend from home.
[It's nice of her to answer the question too.]
You're probably right about that, but not many have the ability to do that.

[If you can believe it.]
Do you want to meet them? I could bring them to meet all you three girls at some point.
[Well, sometimes Derpy does that just on his own and Sussie just follows suit, but well. More excuses to see Rumi get.]
I actually made the hat for the tiger, but the bird keeps stealing it.

In the battles of gods they made a quick means to turn a weak fledgling into a soldier for their crusades. How easy it was to call the demon to possess the simple mortal flesh but it never lasted. In the end the demon's strength would leave and the mortal would sleep away the day.
Much easier to twist and reshape the believer into a beast of your image, a living idol of their devotion!
[Aah Amdusias how he...burrowed and spat acid.]
Hah, I miss them most.

It depends on the type of media that I am looking at, but there are a lot of different stories that can involve demons or other monsters. Most of the time, they are the villain of the story.

We have three kinds. Perhaps the most common are humans, who have surpassed others in some way, often in battle, so significantly it becomes easier for the average witness to believe they've been sent straight from Hell. Just like any person, they can end up doing good or bad things.
I'm friends with a few. [ He is one. ]
Another is those who may look monstrous like creatures of myth, but simply because they come from other planets. Their appearance may or may not match their intentions.
And finally, we have the demons and evil spirits that dwell in the world of darkness and come out to torment humans. Some people argue whether they truly exist, but we still perform our rituals to drive them away every year at Setsubun just in case. After all, if ghosts are real, then why not demons?
[ Are ghosts real, though? He seems pretty convinced... ]
[ Also wow, that was certainly a serious reply for someone dressed in uh. This fashion. ]

All of those sound interesting. The last one is closest to what I know about.
[Except instead of Setsubun they have the Honmoon, he supposed.]

However, the majority are not such thing. They are not monsters, as some would lead you to believe. They are innocent. They have families. They have dreams. They want to live somewhere safe and be allowed to live their lives in peace.
Demons are my people.
