[ SecUnit is still posting things that are just text on a screen. It's replies would mostly be that as well, sorry. ]
Honest question; if someone is choosing to finish a contractually obligated quest with you, would you tell them to turn back? Because I find that to be a very dickish move. It would be like saying, "I don't care if you violate your contract, I am going to finish this quest without you".
I mean, I get that there are a lot of humans who are capable of a lot more than the humans in my world were capable of when it comes to things like fighting or protecting themselves. But it just seems like a rude thing to say.

If they are useful, perhaps it would be rude.
If they are useless, I would tell them to either turn back or die.

Might be why it is pissing me off so much.

They are a fool to dismiss you. You are quite useful and level headed.
Considering the parasite would also kill one such as you had you not cut it out, that is further insult.

I never thought it could be a problem if humans didn't know about SecUnits.

Because they only think I can think of that could possibly make it less rude would be if they thought you were hurt or was about to get hurt.

I've had a lot of people tell me to quit group projects we were required to do because I was too annoying to deal with and they'd rather finish them on their own.
∠( ᐛ 」∠)_
It was still rude though.

[ Not that SecUnit cares that much, but the answer would give more context. ]

Of course I don't know you or the other guy so can't say either way if that was it.
┐( ̄ヮ ̄)┌
It's not that I feel like I have to be annoying on group projects or anything, I just am! Being annoying is a talent of mine, just something I'm natural at~
I'm only ever purposefully annoying when it's someone who's annoying me and deserves it.
[Something that is the furthest from the truth...]

When somebody shows perceived hesitance in moving forwards with a mission, I will offer to let them turn back with no obligation or offence to me. Your 'threat assessment' told you that proceeding would be dangerous. Therefore, I offered you the option to turn back if you felt unsafe.
That you chose to make a public issue of this weeks later, rather than simply say how you felt at the time, speaks more of you than it does of me.
Do not consider yourself 'contractually obligated' to join me on any further outings.
[He will not be responding to any replies.]
Re: text;
Hey, I kept your name out of it, but it is an honest question. Would that etiquette change mean something that is different about being in Ellipsa? I couldn't tell if it was just the way that I felt or if this was a common feeling.
Plus, you had to know that I wasn't human, so my threat assessment was the threat to a human, and you were the only human present.
[ Regardless of whether he responds or not, SecUnit needed to say that bit. ]
no subject
It was not an 'honest question'.
It would have been an 'honest question' had you queried it with me at the time and spoken to me like an adult. What this is, is an inflammatory display of childish passive-aggression and regardless of whether or not my name was mentioned it casts aspersions upon my character regardless.
Whether or not you are human was and is, quite frankly, entirely irrelevant to me. If treating you as someone equal to myself and offering you the opportunity to retreat because you seemed uncomfortable in the situation is 'rude', then I'm content to be considered so.
Do not contact me again.
[He'll just block this contact at that point, because he has no further interest in discussing the matter.]

Did something happen to make you say that?

[ Since no one knows about SecUnits in Ellipsa, they wouldn't realize that telling them to turn back would break their contract. In the world they come from, that would be a heinous mistake and would result in the Governor Module that is implanted in their head frying their brains and killing them. So asking one to turn back is like asking one to commit suicide. In this specific case, SecUnit hacked it's Governor Module so it wouldn't be able to do that, but there was no way that anyone would know that. ]
