Besides the radios, I have heard that the Garleans made great strides in medicine due to their inability to use magic. Though the manufactory focuses more on the development of vehicles and weapons, I hope such advancements in medicine make their way to Ishgard as well. That way, the practice will be able to broaden even to those with no aptitude for healing magics or alchemy.
