Hello, again.

Last time I voiced something on here it was regarding information I found on the past of this world. I'm still trying to uncover more, but I have started assembling information pamphlets for those that arrive and would like a deeper understanding of the world we're in with what I have already.

On that note, I've managed to acquire a job at the government here with the title 'Otherworldy Ambassador'. Granted, it is not as fancy as it may seem. I'm merely working on a proposition that will aid all of us in these new circumstances, along with the citizens here who are dealing with the changes. I have gathered support from Olwen for this, if only because he understands there is more needed to ensuring people's safety after they are brought here.

I'm reaching out here today to see if there is any interest in helping in any form. While I cannot promise paid jobs right away, I will say there are means we can use to work with the government for extra posts, if anyone is interested. Otherwise, I seek collaboration with anyone wishing to set up a business or charity that may be related to this. I'm considering aspects such as combat, strategy, supply line management and other logistics, counselling... as you can see, there is likely something that may be helpful for most. Of course, this is not the only route nor am I likely the only person trying to work towards something like this, I'm merely offering my expertise if anyone should wish to use it. It's still a work in progress, after all, with hopefully an office or a meeting point ready to be used next month.

For the most part, I've dealt with much worse back home. From what I've seen so far, those who are locals are a little reluctant to trust us, which is unfortunate but understandable. I haven't met much backlash so far, however.

I do think it reasonable that they would be reluctant to trust us given the manner of our arrival.

[Even if they are supposed to be here to help, when it comes to reaching out blindly into the multiverse and grabbing whoever you can find there are bound to be some undesirable elements with no way to see which they might be.

But I've experienced that kind of suspicion before... it isn't insurmountable.

There is more to it than that. The people who had seasonal powers before are the reason the world is in the state it's in. They're worried we'll start trying to kill each other for power, even if it apparently isn't possible with the restrictions placed on us when we were summoned.

But I agree. I'm hoping the festival next week will be a good start to improving relations as well.

[Of course there's more to it than that, and she doesn't argue because she's well aware of all the facts... such as they are, and as much as they can be trusted to be true. She's still sceptical about some of it.

Though not so much so that she's going to entirely divorce herself from it all. After all, the sooner they resolve the problems here the sooner they, she would assume, can go home.]

One can only hope. If they see that we're making an effort to integrate, it may make things easier...

[Or more difficult, admittedly, if the people think they are just trying to take over the place. It's really hard to say so early on.]

But I dare say I have dealt with similar odds. Settling Mondstadt after the rebellion was difficult, too, but we managed it.

I agree. If they see people trying to make an effort and help them as needed, they'll likely be more willing to place trust in us. They've likely been told to try, though telling someone to do something doesn't necessarily mean it will happen.

[He's correct and she finds herself agreeing. The two of them could no doubt get along quite well, she thinks, given a little time to get to know each other better.

From your surprise I expect that you come from a period of time long after my own... the rebellion I speak of is that which overthrew Mondstadt's aristocracy.

Indeed, it would seem to be the case. It's been a long time since that happened, though I can't say I know much on it either. Most of the stories I've been told were always based on Inazuma, or anything my retainer has told me about Mondstadt.

[From her demeanour it's clear enough that she's explained this at least a couple of times already, so she smiles crookedly and shrugs one shoulder.]

[It still feels a little funny to introduce herself that way... but context is important and it does seem to help.]

It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Vannessa. I'm Ayato, head of the Kamisato clan and Yashiro Commissioner of the Tri-Commission in Inazuma.

Well, that does sound terribly important.

[She pauses and frowns, lifting one hand to lightly tap her lower lip with a fingertip.]

I haven't had much communication with Inazuma at all, so I can't say I know anything about their government. But I know well enough how to give respect due to others for as long as they show that they deserve that respect.

I imagine it has changed over time, but I couldn't say for certain. But likewise. I have no intention of being disrespectful to someone who has proven to be thoughtful of others.

I'll leave it to you to consider how you'd like to proceed, however, and if you want to consider something in a more official capacity I'd be more than willing to help in that regard.

And for what it's worth, I don't see how forcing anyone into anything garners trust or respect. { he's referring to what she said before, about having a choice.

what is left unsaid is that only by someone willingly making that choice is loyalty actually shown. taking power by use of fear doesn't instil loyalty. but friendship, thoughtfulness, care and other things can do. }

[It might be left unsaid but she hears it nonetheless, it being something that she believes very strongly herself. She doesn't want to make a rush into a decision here though so rather than do that right now she simply gives a small nod.]

I'll give it some thought. Should I come to the decision to involve myself directly with the government here as you have I will let you know.

Very well. For now though, merely odd jobs that help improve our relations with the locals here would be more than enough I'd think. So far things do seem to be improving, but I don't expect it to happen instantly.

It would be foolish to expect an immediate change. I would think there would be some push-back before any acceptance at all.

But I agree with you. Bringing people around one at a time through minor acts might sound like it's going to take far too long, but people talk.

I agree. Besides, it shows we care about the smaller matters as well. It's important that we do, really, for any of this to work. Small gestures can be more important than grand gestures if they're consistent and honest enough.
