Hello, I'm Sun Wukong. A huntsman in training and not related to any kings, despite my name apparently being similar to someone titled a Monkey King. Trust me, I'm not even close to royalty. Or immortality.

That sure is a monkey tail that waves behind him - clearly attached to him. So he is a monkey, at least.]

This came up in a conversation a while back, but I am definitely curious about it.


If you had been given a chance to choose your season, which would you have chosen? Is it the one you have or something else? Do you feel like the season given to you fits you?


[But since it wouldn't be fair if he didn't answer it, too...]


My season is Summer, and I would have chosen it if I had been given a chance. I was born in a desert and my name is Sun, so what's more fitting than summer, really? The emotions that amplify our powers aren't really fitting to my person, but that's about the only thing that doesn't.

Hmm ... that's a great question! I have thought about it.

I was a little bit surprised to receive Autumn as my aligned season since my kind mostly operate around Spring. It would've been my first guess, as it is perhaps slightly befitting of a flower fairy.

But I don't think I would change my season after all, actually. If Autumn is how I've been aligned, then Autumn I'll stay!

Oh, I've never met a flower fairy before... but just by the name I would also say Spring. They do accosiate spring with flowers quite a bit here.

I doubt we'd be able to change it, so having an attitude like that about it is great.

Yes! A positive attitude doesn't hurt! I'm not at all disappointed! While unexpected, I hope that others can feel somewhat inspired by their assigned season.

I'm sure everyone will eventually start to either get used to their season or even appreciate it. All of them seem to have quite useful abilities, from what I've read.

I would have chosen to be Summer like you, because I don't fit the emotions with Spring at all. Think we all just got powers that didn't match what emotions we draw on naturally? Maybe as a sort of, this is what you need to work on thing?

Wind powers aren't so bad though.

Hmm... I don't think so? I've met people who really fit the emotions some seasons offer. Though, it could be some of us got unfitting and some got fitting? Just like summonings are random, why not seasons?

Random, huh...I can't say I like that idea much. If they want our help they could've at least done something to make the assignment of magic follow some sort of logic.

[Sadly, Eva will never find out the actual 'because our muns decided it was funny/fitting' logic.]

But I heard that too. I can't wait until I can get a handle on that, who doesn't want to know what being able to fly is like, right?

[ So, Levi isn't particularly interested or particularly trusting in most of this new technology (the washing machine is growing on him quickly though), but he's been trying to take it easy at the insistence of -- well, pretty much everyone he knows. Which means he has a lot of downtime. Which means he might as well learn to use the communication tile properly and not accidentally embarrass himself when he needs to ask a stranger to help him pay for shit at the store again. ]

It's a bit tricky for me. I would like the connotations of being connected to Spring, but I really can't deny that Summer suits me much better. A bit of a reverse of your whole thing, honestly. I feel my beliefs strongly and I'm as stubborn as they come, but I don't feel much of a connection to Summer as a season.

Sounds like it. I mean, I am passionate about somethings and have tenacity, but they're still not the strongest points of my character in my own personal opinion. So it's not like I think they're complete opposite of what I should have, but there are better emotions for me, definitely.

It could definitely be worse, anyway. For example, even if I've already got water powers myself, Winter would've been a nightmare for me. Pride, sure, I've got that. The other two, not so much.

Anyway, all that aside, you say you're a huntsman in training? You don't much look like the usual kind, so... Do you happen to know a Ruby Rose?

I didn't say the abilities don't. I meant the emotions that are say to amplify our powers.

I do recognize them from my personality, but there are far better emotions that would relate to me instead.

I'm also happy to have summer as my season! No element comes easier to me than fire, and the emotions work out too!

Yeah, I've sort of noticed how well those emotions work for you.

[Hijikata is still really happy to have Sun as a fellow summer power holder. The telekinesis training they've done together has really come in clutch for him whenever his fire magic and swords couldn't be applied for whatever reason!]

You make summer work for you really well, too. Come to think, I don't think I've met any summer power holder who was struggling with their alignment.

[Okay, maybe Eren had some starting trouble, but once Hijikata gave him some pointers he got a hang of it fast!]
