Hello, I'm Sun Wukong. A huntsman in training and not related to any kings, despite my name apparently being similar to someone titled a Monkey King. Trust me, I'm not even close to royalty. Or immortality.

That sure is a monkey tail that waves behind him - clearly attached to him. So he is a monkey, at least.]

This came up in a conversation a while back, but I am definitely curious about it.


If you had been given a chance to choose your season, which would you have chosen? Is it the one you have or something else? Do you feel like the season given to you fits you?


[But since it wouldn't be fair if he didn't answer it, too...]


My season is Summer, and I would have chosen it if I had been given a chance. I was born in a desert and my name is Sun, so what's more fitting than summer, really? The emotions that amplify our powers aren't really fitting to my person, but that's about the only thing that doesn't.

It's a bit tricky for me. I would like the connotations of being connected to Spring, but I really can't deny that Summer suits me much better. A bit of a reverse of your whole thing, honestly. I feel my beliefs strongly and I'm as stubborn as they come, but I don't feel much of a connection to Summer as a season.

Sounds like it. I mean, I am passionate about somethings and have tenacity, but they're still not the strongest points of my character in my own personal opinion. So it's not like I think they're complete opposite of what I should have, but there are better emotions for me, definitely.

It could definitely be worse, anyway. For example, even if I've already got water powers myself, Winter would've been a nightmare for me. Pride, sure, I've got that. The other two, not so much.

Anyway, all that aside, you say you're a huntsman in training? You don't much look like the usual kind, so... Do you happen to know a Ruby Rose?

Things could always be worse. And I think all of the seasons have more or less one emotion that is pretty common, at least.

[At least there's that saving grace...]

Yeah, I know Ruby. We're from the same world. I take it you met her either in another place like this or here?

Yes, I met her a long time ago on the Void Train, though not nearly so long for her. I suppose I only said I wanted to meet her team, so maybe she just didn't think to mention you. She can be a bit scatterbrained like that.

[Nia shakes her head in exasperation, but she's smiling as she does it.]

Well, we're not that close, so there's a list of people she'd mention before me.

Wait, does she even know you're here? Close or not, you're the one who's actually in the same bloody world right now.

She does! We met when we came here.

Ah. Well, in that case, the girl's got no excuse. Hope she's ready for endless "who's Sun" jokes.

[Nia's ears perk up in mischievous glee at the thought.]

I know, I know. I'll only tease a little. She's going to be embarrassed enough without me rubbing it in.

Oh, more than just friends. Ruby is remarkably similar to both my husband and one of my wives in many ways. Not a bit of similarity to Mythra, though. We're still in the early stages of the relationship, but I think it'll work out just as well.

Oooh... now I get to tease Ruby about finding someone and not spilling the beans. Or, well, if you're still in the early stages, maybe not. But congratulations anyway.

No, no, you're good. It started back on the Voidtrain, before either of us were here. It only really kicked up after I showed up here, but it was there.
