I'll also take word on any shops or scrap yards that deal with spare parts-- for emergencies. Running just fine right now after all, but I'd rather know my options if something did ever come up. Nice as this place seems and all, other parts of it do not sound great.
Thanks ahead of time.

Some of the bars and clubs have good music. Depends whether you're after the laid back jazz variety or the thumping dance variety. [ Everyone chills in their own way after all. ]
no subject
[All music could be good music, she just had a leaning towards the type she was first introduced to. Hard to forget-
Something like a hum -and actual hum- could be heard; sound thoughtful.]
The clubs don't seem to mind anyone going in just to hang? Used to only being me and a few friends laying around listening to vinyl, but I'm in for trying something new.
no subject
I work at a club that specializes in punk music, I can get you in there without paying as long as you don't mind hanging with goth types. [ Saya definitely doesn't look like a goth type. ]
no subject
[To say it lightly- and trying not to dwell.]
Sounds like a fun job you've got there, whatever it may be. Can't say I'd mind, takes all types and music is a pretty good thing to bring them all together. [Even if her social circle was both big and small- didn't stop her from being open.]
no subject
Anytime you'd like to drop by, let me know. I'll come let you in.
no subject
We're all connected, after all. Think that applies here as well as back where I'm from— maybe even everywhere, no matter differences. Better to enjoy those than keep up a divide, right?
It's why I like music so much, and finding places to hang with others who enjoy it too is a nice place to start finding those connections. [It was how she'd forged her first connections.]
So really, thanks. I'll hit you up when I'm in the area!
no subject
I couldn't agree more. It took me a while to accept being different, but I'm very lucky to have been surrounded by people that wouldn't let me do anything else. [ Aside from red eyes and being super pretty to the point where it's unnatural, Saya looks perfectly human, but the clear implication is that she's not. ]
I'd be glad to have you! The crowd there tends to appreciate differences, sometimes a little too much, but mostly they're pretty good.
un: King Iggy; video
[ He gives what one can only assume is a friendly wave. It's friendly for now, at least. ]
I actually like hanging out at the cemetery in the fall-y area, there's skeleton fish and everything! Kinda reminds me of home, even if I haven't been successful in catching one yet. Other than that... hm. Scrap yards, haven't found any of those yet either, but I haven't exactly been looking as hard as I probably should be...
[ He is determined to build a kart, dammit. Even if it kills him to try. ]
So, what'cha think of this place so far? I personal think it sucks, but no one else seems to mind.
no subject
Even here, Iggy could carry that much.] We're making steps back home! Hopefully more will listen.
A little overly enthusiastic? I can handle something like that, I think.
no subject
Same name- Nice.
Most of the places I've seen didn't seem like the type to keep spare scrap hanging around, either. I don't think I've seen the skeleton fish yet, but then again I haven't been to a cemetery either. [Quiet and peaceful places that humans did not tend to like seeing Omnics around, even if they had friends there--] Sometimes it's just easier to find parts there than at electronic shops and the like-- or just sheets of metal, pieces some just don't know how to repurpose right.
[Ways to keep a place built of discarded parts held together; learn to repurpose everything, even if it doesn't last as long as wanted.]
It's filled with nice people- friendlier than what I've gotten used to so it's kinda nice in that way. Not enough going on for your tastes?
no subject
A little overly enthusiastic is a good way to put it. You might get a lot of attention. Positive, I'm almost certain, but maybe overwhelming if you're not used to it. Sometimes I have to work to get a little distance.
no subject
[ New parts that he is a million percent confident that he could, in fact, steal. The very thought has him wanting to go make an attempt right now, but he knows better, for the most part. ]
The skeleton fish are pretty cool. They look a lot more vicious than the ones I'm used to seeing at home, though. Which is why I wanna catch one! [ To definitely teach it 'tricks', alright. The tricks being making it even more violent than it probably already is so he can use it against a few certain people if they ever magically show up. She doesn't need to know that, though. ]
Mmm, this place is definitely a little too friendly for me, yeah. Definitely not enough chaos for liking [ Yet. Yet. ] but I guess it's okay. It's been an adjustment!
[ Seriously, he's gone from living in a pretty cushy castle, getting to have his own minions, blowing off King Bowser's money as recklessly as he wants and basically doing whatever he wants, to... well. This. Having to work for money really sucks, he's decided, even if he's found it's at least something to do. ]
no subject
I'm not used to a lot of positive attention, but it's a better reason to be overwhelmed- probably.
no subject
[Parts were already hard to come by- and not because there weren't just... stays Omnic parts from years ago. Had enough trouble as it was keeping things going in the Underworld, and getting parts to keep it running and powered.
Thinking about personal needs was somehow both nicer and more worrying. Knowing no one she could go to if she needed any sort of fix.]
Still sounds like you're from an interesting place if you've got anything like that you're used to seeing. Could probably teach it tricks, some fish can be a lot smarter than they look so- skeleton ones probably count there? [... Not that she was around animals much but, hey.]
I'll take friendly over what I'm used to any day; walking without getting glares is pretty nice.
[The possibility of a job was a hell of a concept in a much friendlier place. She could work, but... Really considering something a lot different from previous lab jobs.]
no subject
[ He isn't NICE. He's just bored, and it'd be a good idea to keep his mind fresh and preoccupied with thoughts that aren't constantly about causing chaos and carnage. Or worrying about his siblings at home. ]
It's a lot more colorful than this place, that's for sure. I'd imagine the skelly fish are JUST as smart, yeah! I just gotta figure out a place to keep it. Something tells me they wouldn't enjoy living in a small bowl. I wouldn't. [ He'd go even crazier, if that were possible-- ] But I'm sure I can find a large tank eventually. Or build one.
Y'know, I don't blame you there. It's sort of nice, not being recognized, right? I'm in the same boat. Uh, except I've already gone and made at leeeeeast two enemies, but it's fine! Variety is the spice of life, and also, they're gonna be sorry if they screw with me, so, it all works out!
[ #nailedit. ]

[We being the rest of her kind of course, but hey. She wasn't going to look a gift-
koopahorse in the mouth. Better to know options and not need them, than need and... not know anyone that she could go to.]Always good to get the set-up going first to make sure they'll feel real homey and happy to learn. Nothing motivates like knowing you're well taken care of- [Oh, wow that makes her think about the whole arrival thing twice for just a nanosecond.] -and knowing there's a real cushy place to chill. You ever need help looking for pieces? I'm not bad at telling if parts for stuff like that can work- not an expert, but some experience helps to find good pieces.
Sounds rough, even if you're one that can thrive in that sorta situation. Still, the only looks being from people not being used to seeing someone like me around is definitely preferable. Curiosity isn't awful, after all.
no subject
[ It'll keep him out of trouble
mostlyand besides, it'll keep his mind sharp. Probably. He gives her a friendly enough salute. ]Sure is! Shoooould probably find a library to, y'know... do actual, boring research on them too! [ He's more of a fuck around and find out kind of guy, though, so he knows that library time is very unlikely unless he gets desperate. ] Thanks! Honestly? I might take you up on that. Admittedly, I've been really fortunate when it comes to parts and pieces at home. I've never really had to scavenge for stuff at home, it was always just sort of brought to me [ To keep him quiet and out of trouble, or, to allow him to build some sort of hideous machine of mass destruction for Bowser or his siblings, but, details! ] whenever I requested it. Actually, this might be kinda fun! Like a really sad treasure hunt!
I'd imagine it is. Has anyone gone out of their way to ask what you are yet? I think every single human I've run into so far has asked me. Gets pretty old after a while.
no subject
[She might've worked more with chemicals, but an Omnic had to learn to take care of oneself in most places.]
Heard there was a big one in Amberfall? Not a bad place to start looking for books that might have stuff on them there. [Was one of the places she was going to visit herself sooner or later.] Sometimes it took learning the right stores, or just where they tossed out the stuff that was damaged somehow that could be easily repaired. Likely no different here, so I know a lot of tricks for finding some good stuff if it can't be bought.
[Here was likely a price thing than an unwilling to sell for some other reason at least—]
Not yet. Some might just assume I'm some weird mech model they're working on at the Research Center, or something along that line if they get I'm a new arrival.
no subject
He gets it. And he hates that. ]
It's true! I'd appreciate any pointers you can give, honestly. It's been a hot minute, I think the last thing I worked on was my kart at home. Nothing too complicated.
[ And by 'worked on my kart at home' he means obsessively added and removed parts, anything to make it go that much faster, all so that he could sidle up next to Toadette on the track, laugh in her face, send her flying, and then gun it just as her high pitched shrieks of 'I hate you' echoed off of the walls within the Coconut Mall.
Good times, good times. ]
I heard that, too! I guess there's not a whole lot around here to do, anyways... [ And as much as he loathes the idea of being "responsible", he supposes it wouldn't be a bad idea. After all, the fish in question aren't exactly identical to the ones at home. Those things tend to stay out of his way and for good reason, the ones here seem... far more aggressive. Something tells him poking one with a stick to see just how hard they bite won't be enough information. ] Y'know, that reminds me. I've been so busy trying to start a garden, that I haven't bought any actual mechanic tools...
[ He uses a clawed finger to scratch at his cheek, before he shrugs. He's not entirely too embarrassed to admit out loud that yes, he's attempting a garden of all things, at least. But he's realizing just how much time he's dedicated to that particular project now...
...he feels old. Is this how Kamek feels-- ]
Well, that's not a bad thing, either. I'm glad no one's harassed you or anything, 'cause it gets super old after a while! If they DO ask you, you should make something new up every single time for maximum confusion.
[ It's a shame he hadn't thought of being a massive troll when the majority of the population was asking him what he was, dammit... ]
no subject
Had to do a lot for ourselves, so passing on knowledge is pretty important- never know, could come in pretty handy for you here.
[Not just in helping her either. Sharing this sort of thing jut felt important to her.]
Seems like a pretty chill place, outside of a few things I've heard about and... all of that outside of these segments. [A destroyed and lost world..., encroaching darkness and everything in that.] You have any luck? Gardens can be important and be really good to keep sustained once it gets going.
[Practicality right there!]
It gets real, real old and... well. [This place was a pretty eye opening experience, that was for sure. What could be—] Not like anyone here seems to know what an Omnic is anyway, so I could play around a little if they get too up in my business about it.
[Why not have a little harmless fun? If they were nicer about it she'd return that.]
no subject
True enough... hey, what segment did you get stuck in, anyways? I'm Autumn, but maybe I can help you hone your magic in return. I'm... pretty magically gifted, too. At home, at least -- this magic is way different than what I'm used to, but it just takes practice.
[ It's the least he can offer, anyways, since he doesn't have a whole lot else TO offer. ]
See, that's the thing. I'm more interested in the outside than I am the inside. I don't think I believe all this crap about all of us being pulled here to do some heroic stuff -- I am no hero, not in the slightest, believe me -- and I have no intention of saving anything. So I'm nnnnnot quite sure why some of us are here, but, hey. Adventure time, I guess?
[ He isn't going to save this world, no. He's trying to find a way to take it for his own for the sole purpose of rubbing it in his sibling's faces, should they ever arrive. He can't think of a better thing to do, in fact! ]
Yes! I mostly want to grow carrots! They are delightful and we are severely lacking that particular vegetable here, also, I refuse to pay for that when I can just grow it myself! Probably! [ That, and some other dangerous plants, but, details. ] Also, it's probably not a bad idea to have just in case the proverbial crap does in fact hit the fan in this place. Never know.
[ Omnic -- he's going to store that away to his memories for later. Not for any nefarious reasons, but for the sake of not coming off as completely rude later on down the road. ] Sometimes, trolling people here is the only thing there is to do, honestly. You may as well take advantage of it while you can!
no subject
She helped out more than I could ever ask of her, and I know there are parts of our world where it isn't like that, but it's an ongoing fight. A lot of fear from... things that happened in the past, and twenty or so years isn't that long ago for a lot of people. [Iggy had people rallied behind her now, no more of Kace's fear-mongering amongst the Underworld's Omnics to spark flames that couldn't be put out and endanger them more.]
Ah- and I'm... Spring? If I'm remembering right. The place I woke up was really pretty, even if way empty. Honestly, the whole magic thing outside of music and all that is foreign to me, so I would take all the help I can get!
[There was that brighter flickering to her eyes that even went up to the mohawk like piece on top of her head. Definitely glowed like the other pieces that did-]
Being dubious about all of this is a bit on the smarter side, because some things can definitely be too good to be true. Looking into it further for evidence? Can be one of the best ideas, and gotta remember to be careful about it so you can keep hat you might find. You know? Adventure is adventure, and it's better when you don't lose what you might find.
[Good advice? Who knows, even if possibly to the wrong person but hey he's been nice to her and that's her only impression so far. Even if a little eccentric, but again even that wasn't bad.]
Carrots are a good place to start, especially if you like them. Could always throw some peppers and other stuff- but I only know so much since I don't really eat, and it's more like off-hand knowledge of what could grow well together and improve the chances of getting something. [Better than nothing?] Never know forreal, because if whatever happened outside may not really be truly held completely at bay, or whatever.
Gotta do your best to keep yourself entertained, yeah? Makes me wonder if there's something like an arcade anywhere. [She'd be looking for Vinyl shops personally and... maybe some good books. Arcades were still neat, and it could be something to actually go into one without trouble for once.]

[ Which is why no one asks Iggy. He can't complain about mooching off of Bowser's coins and living in a cushy castle, unlike a whole lot of the rest of the King's minions and underlings. Unlike them, he and his siblings get to basically do whatever they want, so long as they aren't 'working'. ]
Seasonal magic is probably different based on each season -- I haven't done a whole lot of research, but the basics are likely very similar. So, I'll gladly help you out! Ahaha, the magic I use at home is [ stolen -- ] a little on the borrowed side, but not many people can harness it, so, y'know.
[ He pauses, tossing things around wherever he's at, before he produces his wand, a silver scepter with a simple yellow jewel in the center. He twirls it carelessly in his clawed fingers, as if it were not, in fact, a weapon capable of doing a good amount of damage. ]
This seasonal magic thing is definitely a new concept, because at home, I use this wand to conjure up my magic. It's kinda cool not needing it all the time! I never thought I'd say this, though, but I kinda wish my siblings were here. I think they'd get a kick out of it, too.
[ Lemmy would, at least. But he gets a kick out of almost anything, especially if Iggy is involved. They feed off of each other's chaotic energy like nothing else, and he really, really misses that. ]
True enough! I just don't know if I entirely buy into the ruined world thing. But, only one way to find out... someday! Just not quite yet. Probably. [ Depending on how bored he gets, and how far he wants to push his 'fuck around and find out' energy on any given day, really. ]
I love them. Gimme some carrots and an ice cold glass of ginger ale, and I'm happy! The rest of my family really love meat, and I mean, yeah, I do too, but there's just something about carrots! [ And onions and-- actually, didn't he absolutely obliterate a garden not too long ago at home... ] Peppers wouldn't be a bad idea either! Speaking of the outside world, I do wonder what sorts of plants grow out there...
[ He looks thoughtful, as if the aforementioned 'fuck around and find out' vibes are potentially growing within him. ]
Haven't seen an arcade yet, but, I haven't really done a ton of uh, exploring yet either. This guy named Chipp provided a link to a really basic phone game he made though, that was super fun to play. It's just one of those non stop runners, but, it's at least something, y'know?
no subject
[She realized how much support she could get back home, after all.
Of course her eyes lit up brighter as Iggy spoke, more so once he pulled out that scepter. How cool was that? Things made for play or described in books or lyrics were once thing, but seeing someone with the real deal—]
Honestly, that's pretty cool. Wish those I knew were here, too- even if they might get a bit overwhelmed, but in a good way.
-better to be well prepared before going out and seeing, just in case what's said is true about the place out there. [To be able to come back in one piece.]
They sound perfectly crunchy when snapped- could be something about that crunch. Carrots are also supposed to be sweet, right? Reason people make carrot cake and all that. [She couldn't eat, let alone taste, but she did work closely with a human in the labs, once upon a time.] Hard to say, but if something did it'd likely be something worthy a bit of study- or dangerous if it really is that bad out there.
[Bad and good ideas combined.]
It is at least something, because sometimes you just need to sit around a little mindlessly with some sort of game like that.

Despite management being a little off, the environment isn't bad there. And if anyone steps out of line, I can handle it, and they all know it. [ Saya is a tiny wisp of a thing, but she sure sounds confident. ]

[Always looking towards the positive when possible there.]

It's not like they have a lot of options for people to replace me. I don't usually take advantage of that, but in this case...

You know what you're doing, and more power to you. [Sincerely, tone still- honestly that underline sort of cheerfulness. Sometimes you just did what you had to do-] So honestly, even more appreciation for the offer here- and more reason to check it out.
Not a bad way to get used to a place like this and being allowed in places.
no subject
[ He twirls the metal between his fingers again, before making an attempt to balance it on the tip of a claw. ]
Thanks! Aha, yeah, I think a few of my brothers would get a little overwhelmed too. Just a little. [ Ludwig. Ludwig would be flailing his arms and stressing out about how they need to get home right now or else Lord Bowser will have their heads and what about the others? -- the thought of his eldest brother having a mini melt down is almost enough to make him start cackling out loud. He doesn't, though, storing the hilarious mental image to laugh at for later. ]
They can be sweet, yes! And they are definitely crunchy. They're the perfect vegetable and honestly I don't know why more people don't like them. [ i.e his siblings are stupid for mainly wanting to partake in meat. Or maybe he really is crazy. Well. He is. But maybe he's just crazier for liking vegetables. ] I'm interested in everything about this place, but more or less what is on the outside. And I'm willing to take those risks on my own as soon as I'm prepared, if I can bring something back worthwhile I'll let you know. Er, when the time is right... definitely not yet, though.
[ He might be crazy, but he isn't entirely stupid at least. Preparation is key. If he's learned anything from Bowser's failures over the years, it's definitely preparation. ]
Yes! I'm hoping that one day, he'll let me help expand on it. I don't think he'll mind, but, it's not my game to toy with so to speak, so I'll need to ask him!
