Hey, whoever tunes into this— This is still weird.

[That voice certainly didn't sound normal, a hum to it as if modulated; because it was, obviously so given the mechanical nature of who was appearing on the video.

She lowered the phone once sure it was working, held in two hands. Sitting on the floor of an apartment room. The glow of those blue lit 'eyes' flickering to dim down a bit, adjusting to account for camera glare. The dots of light above her eyes doing the same.

No movement to the 'mouth' that could and couldn't be obvious given the design of her faceplate as she spoke, but her voice still was clear as day. The humming sort of soft buzz a constant.]

I'll also take word on any shops or scrap yards that deal with spare parts-- for emergencies. Running just fine right now after all, but I'd rather know my options if something did ever come up. Nice as this place seems and all, other parts of it do not sound great.

It's interesting what brings people together. [ In her case it's typically fighting, blood drinking, or Weird Science. Or torture, where she was stuck last. ]

A little overly enthusiastic is a good way to put it. You might get a lot of attention. Positive, I'm almost certain, but maybe overwhelming if you're not used to it. Sometimes I have to work to get a little distance.

Right? Even made a recent friend back home over music, once she and I realized we were into some of the same bands when we bumped into each other. [To put it incredibly kindly, rather than her being chased down due to stealing a very necessary part for where she and others lived—]

I'm not used to a lot of positive attention, but it's a better reason to be overwhelmed- probably.

Sometimes overwhelmed is overwhelmed. If it's too much, I can put you in one of the employees only spaces. Less crowd, same music.

If it isn't too much trouble? Sounds like an awful lot of effort, and be appreciated either way. Most music scenes I'm used to have just been myself and a few friends hanging out in a room, really.

No trouble at all. It's no more effort than letting you in or keeping the crowd on good behavior. I have an agreement with management that I get to do things like this. [ She has them over a barrel and is milking it for all it's worth. ]

That's one good and solid sounding agreement- and doing it that way could be a lot easier to ease into being allowed into places like that. Pretty good idea, honestly.

Yes, well. They were trying to take advantage of me, a little [ actually no not "a little" ] so I pulled out all the stops. My friends get free drinks too.

Despite management being a little off, the environment isn't bad there. And if anyone steps out of line, I can handle it, and they all know it. [ Saya is a tiny wisp of a thing, but she sure sounds confident. ]

So it's kinda like your place more than it is theirs- they just pay for it all? At least, that's how it sounds, and with that bit of context that isn't a bad thing, either.

It's not like they have a lot of options for people to replace me. I don't usually take advantage of that, but in this case...
