[The camera turns on and Flynn is staring at someone off camera, frowning slightly before he looks back at the recording device. He opens his mouth to speak, then shuts it, and then finally he relaxes. He gives the camera a smile and a nod of acknowledgement]

I was told that this device can record me and put my words onto a network.

[Flynn gives a small wave.]

Consider this a practice round for me. I'm Flynn Scifo, and I hope to get along with everyone.

[He looks back over to whoever is off camera and cocks his head to the side.]

Is that good?

[The blond looks back at the camera and gives a sheepish grin.]

[With that the video cuts off.]

Oh. That makes sense, never mind.

[He chuckles and shakes his head.]

I don't know if he'll let me join, he wouldn't back home.

[However, it wasn't exactly like he could have joined in the right way anyway. He needed to stay affiliated with the Empire in order to make sure that someone didn't take over and do something like the former Commandant had done.]

That kind of strikes him and makes his chest feel hollow. His hand comes up to touch the middle of his chest briefly.]

Sure. The first thing I want to do is make sure he's doing okay. From what everyone says it sounds like it, but I want to check.

Trouble likes to find him, and I'm not sure that will stick to just our own world.

Definitely something you'll have to ask him, unfortunately. Most of my conversations with him have had to do with cooking.

Of course, I'll ask him as soon as I meet up with him.

Yuri is a really good cook.

[Though if you ask Yuri about Flynn's cooking...]

He's seemed competent enough, yes.

It's nice to hear that others like his cooking.

What kinds of things do you have at your bakery?

[kingside]

The usual, really. Breads, cakes, tarts, brownies, cookies, quiche, that sort of thing. Most of our customers take their purchases home or wherever else with them, but we have seating available for anyone who can't wait.

Sounds good. I'll have to come try some of the items myself.

[He pauses.]

I don't think I got your name.

It's Lelouch. A pleasure to meet you.

[He nods.]

Thank you for everything you've told me so far Lelouch. When I'm more settled I'll have to pay you back.

It's not like I have anything going on, so helping out somehow is better than just sitting around. Right?

[He can put in manual labor. Just don't ask him to cook, because he will and you'll ultimately be sorry for it.]

Just try a few things from the bakery and recommend it to people if you like it. That's enough.
