Hi all.
I've found in my travels that the best ways to get to know a community are to see what people do in their off time and find out where they go. So. Tell me anything.
What are your favorite places to eat?
What do you do with your time?
What are popular activities or hobbies around here?
For my own interestes, I have a few specifics:
Where is the nearest record shop?
Does anyone need an archival specialist? Data engineer? Librarian?
Also-- Does anyone know of a half decent mechanic that will follow instructions?
Thanks.

Cat. Aurora
Sorry, damn autocorrect

Even your cat's name references the an ancient word for dawn.
Or, the Northern Lights.
Neat.

And she answered to it when I first called her that, so I presume she likes it.

Meanwhile, it's a good idea to keep your Aurora in order if someone does drop by. My reaction speed has been down for a while and that's why I had trouble separating the girls earlier.

I hope your cat didn't get hurt this time. I know that Aurora is still learning to share and to be in a domesticated environment.

Cecily came out fine, thanks for asking. She's evidently like her namesake and not the type to be bossed around.
Although, a house cat taking on a baby magical mountain lion takes more bravery than most people have.

Still, I'm glad that she's okay. I need to figure out how to handle Aurora's whiskers until she's old enough to better control them.

Both are on brand, here.
[That trait was in fact the very reason why Athena had asked the original Cecily for help in the first place. She had been ready to take on the unknown for the sake of what she believed to be important, and Athena needed that.
They needed something to believe in.]
Aurora's zaps didn't help the problem that was already there. It's why I'm looking for a mechanic. Something in there overloaded and it's hard doing that work myself, even if I pop the mechanisms off.

[Can you feel the sarcasm from that one word?]
do you need me to head back home soon for any help?

This isn't my first time with one fully functioning arm in a questionable situation. At least this time the company is cute and not actively trying to kill me.

And Aurora doesn't seem to hate you specifically - just isn't used to those drones of yours.

They're a help, but right now they're not strictly needed.
My nerves are still a little fried and I'd rather have too little than too much.

Any takers on that offer so far?

I DID meet your boss, though. Nice guy, smart. He seems like someone I'd enjoy diving through some ruins with.

I'm not surprised to hear that. Regis enjoys studying history and mythos. If he wasn't born into royalty, I suspect that he would've made a career in archeology.

Are you mad?
That better not be a stupid joke

I've seen you work. Steady hands are important.
no subject
But why do I feel like you're implying more than just for repairs here
no subject
You are handsome but we just met recently-- there's nothing here unless you want it to be.
no subject
But I'll help fix you up if you still can't find a mechanic.
