Hi all.

I've found in my travels that the best ways to get to know a community are to see what people do in their off time and find out where they go. So. Tell me anything.

What are your favorite places to eat?

What do you do with your time?

What are popular activities or hobbies around here?

For my own interestes, I have a few specifics:

Where is the nearest record shop?

Does anyone need an archival specialist? Data engineer? Librarian?

Also-- Does anyone know of a half decent mechanic that will follow instructions?

I haven't been here incredibly long, so I've been exploring the city. Also, learning how to use this device to talk to others.

Both are very smart things to do. I'm still getting my feet under me, more or less.

I'm lucky that I have a pretty decent roommate. That part helps a lot.

I ended up with no roommate, but I do have someone who is from my world that came here before I did.

That makes things easier.

This isn't my first time in a new world without support. At least this time around it's much more comfortable.

I'm still trying to figure out technology right now, but everything else seems not too bad.

Well we have a reasonable level of freedom of movement, minimal restrictions upon us, we can choose our housing situation and what food we want...

Well, right now my major company is Mr. Tall, Dark, and Sharp. He calls himself a Lion but I wonder... He seems like he's hard to make Actually Angry.

His name is Lion? I don't think I know anyone by that name, but hard to make angry is probably a plus.

No, his network handle has the word Lion in it.

But, network handles can be a very personal thing for some people. It's an interesting look at what they think of themselves and what they feel is important.

It's the name is chose for myself.

People have done that forever.

It's just your name. It's the default it looks like.

I guess that's fine. I wouldn't know how to change it anyway, or what to change it to.
