Hi all.

I've found in my travels that the best ways to get to know a community are to see what people do in their off time and find out where they go. So. Tell me anything.

What are your favorite places to eat?

What do you do with your time?

What are popular activities or hobbies around here?

For my own interestes, I have a few specifics:

Where is the nearest record shop?

Does anyone need an archival specialist? Data engineer? Librarian?

Also-- Does anyone know of a half decent mechanic that will follow instructions?

Fairies?

That's a new one.

I'll see what's needed around, I guess. Media archival is my personal interest, but honestly everything has value if you know what to look for.

The fairies run a lot of things around here. It was new to me, too. At least they make sure no one can steal the books, since when they're due back to the library the fairies just come swipe them.

I've spent a lot of time in the library lately, they have books from many different worlds. I bet you'll find it fascinating.

My favorite place to eat? That's like picking a favorite star... but the places that make desserts, I guess.

It looks like most of those places serve desserts.

I'll make sure to hit up the coffee shops or bakeries first, though. That's a good place to start.

Having the fairies come and take the books can be a handy way to make sure they're not lost. I'm of the opinion that library fines don't actually do anything helpful. It's only a punishment to those who already don't have a lot of money, which is why they're at the library at all in the first place.

There's lots of ways to get around funding problems and the like, but that's a discussion for another day.

I need to know: are these fairies at all... dangerous? If you're not careful? I'm not in the business of messing with the Kindly People if you get my drift.

I'm not trying to be difficult with the food thing, I'm just not very picky. [ To say the least ]

I haven't seen or heard of any danger from the fairies at all.
They're helpful. Not at all likely to start cursing anyone or lock them into unfair contracts or the like.

They're far more Tinkerbell than Oberon, if you catch the references.
