Hi all.
I've found in my travels that the best ways to get to know a community are to see what people do in their off time and find out where they go. So. Tell me anything.
What are your favorite places to eat?
What do you do with your time?
What are popular activities or hobbies around here?
For my own interestes, I have a few specifics:
Where is the nearest record shop?
Does anyone need an archival specialist? Data engineer? Librarian?
Also-- Does anyone know of a half decent mechanic that will follow instructions?

[Even so, he makes it a point for everyone to just refer to him simply as "Regis". Although, some of his subjects certainly enjoyed joking about his name. Regis is painfully aware of it thanks to the tabloids in Eos.]

Though. I have to say that some of the names that keep popping up are driving me nuts. I'm a scholar of antiquities. That's, ancient history and myth from about 4000 years before my time.
Your language seems like it has a lot in common with what I call Latin. It's the ancient and now dead language of the old Empire that drew the blueprint for most of Western society.

Despite being quite surprised to know there's an language that mirrors ancient Lucian, I suppose it's merely a coincidence caused by humanity's familiarity with language. From what little I've managed to learn here in Ellipsa, it seems that every world where humanity thrives is inherently linked through culture and language.
It's a bit of a phenomenon, one that I've noticed as of late considering how many different cultures exist here within this nexus that exists in other worlds.

And, if you happen to need or know anyone who needs an archivist, let me know. Lucero non uro is one of my family's ancient mottos, but so is a Gaelic phrase that means 'help the king.'
Not that I'm swearing anything, but I like to see the terrible and awesome things that people do.
[Humanity was capable of wonders and atrocities alike, and both were important. Athena cared about everything-- the little details, the giant movements, and everything in between.
Even camping with strangers in a strange world. ]
People and their cultures are fascinating like that, aren't they? I don't know much about interdimensional, multiversal this, but I do know a little about different worlds.
Even if the people don't strictly look like us... They're still people. They do both good and bad things, they join sounds into language, and they create art.
I like to look at the past to better understand the present and the possibilities in the future. The bigger picture is pretty amazing.

[He’s oddly fascinated with Athena. In terms of roommates, he suppose Cor could’ve done far worse than befriending such a shrewd scholar. Nevertheless, he plans on teasing Cor about his new roommate. He’s quite curious to see how she gets along with Cor’s precious little coeurl kitten. Now that will be something to behold.]
More often than not, one would have to seek out the past in order to understand the present. If you seek any information about other worlds—then by all means pay the Amberfall Library a visit. What they lack in lore regarding Ellipsa, they have plenty in regards to other realms.
[However, he still finds it rather odd that there’s not much lore about this world. It seems everything is hidden behind lock and key.]
Be forewarned, there’s not a lot of information to be had regarding our generous hosts. It seems much of their history has been lost to time according to what others have claimed.

Very nice! I like how dedicated the vibes in your kingdom are, from the little bits I've heard from Cor. It's very in tune with the collective unconscious ideas about darkness and light, danger and safety. The metaphors are excellent, 10/10.
I know, it probably sounds silly. Sorry, I'm a sucker for this kinda thing.
[It was the glitz and the drama of it that drew Athena's attention, much in the way that the inherent drama of the Romans and the Greeks had drawn it as well. When leaders were so great and terrible that history remembered their names thousands of years after they passed, they couldn't resist.
The feats of the emperors showed what the potential of what could come from every decision. Likewise, the angry missives in preserved clay tablets about corrupt traders showed that some truths about humans were just eternal.]
The library has been mentioned before and I've got it pinned as a place to check out. As soon as I sort my affairs and make sure my cat isn't spooked, I'll hop to it. Cecily (my cat) is a little spooked after this morning, but she'll be fine.
It's sad to hear that our hosts weren't exaggerating, though. Has any work been done to find out if anything is hidden anywhere?

I, for one, don’t find your intrigue silly. Honestly, I wish others were more inclined to learn about other cultures and lore. I suspect Cor already told you I possess a love for such topics.

Oh, you have a cat? How cute! I’ve been thinking about getting another pet, especially since tonberries aren’t exactly friendly pets. However, Tonitrus is actually rather sweet despite being a little feisty at times.

These little monsters typically carry knives but I have him a toy knife instead out of…genuine concern.

But, regardless. Cor did tell me about your love of academia, and I would love to exchange notes at a better time. Perhaps when I'm not recovering from getting zapped by Cor's lightning kitty???
I know nothing about tonberries or coeurls or any creatures from your world but they seem capable of incredible levels of aggression. It's impressive, if I'm being honest, and I'd be curious too meet them someday.
