Hi all.
I've found in my travels that the best ways to get to know a community are to see what people do in their off time and find out where they go. So. Tell me anything.
What are your favorite places to eat?
What do you do with your time?
What are popular activities or hobbies around here?
For my own interestes, I have a few specifics:
Where is the nearest record shop?
Does anyone need an archival specialist? Data engineer? Librarian?
Also-- Does anyone know of a half decent mechanic that will follow instructions?
Thanks.

Don't stress about your media preference. Digital holds up better than vinyls, but we still need to take care that the files don't get corrupted.
Real Media also is more expensive and takes up more space.
Besides, it seems like you're doing pretty good on the media front for a kid in the 21st century. I'm in the 23rd.
Don't sweat the details. History is always going to depend on who you're talking to and what their angle is. But, that's part of why I like to preserve the mundane things, like vinyls.
They're an important window into a time that we can't experience anymore because it doesn't exist in the same way.

true, these smartphones are convenient for that. i sometimes miss the old stuff tho, so i don't mind going outta my way to get some kind of real media too.

Give me a chance to find my footing, ok? I'll put out feelers for other people and the options we've got available.
