[ Nen likes that expression on his face. It's a familiar thing. They don't smile much either, and it makes Chipp feel more like them, even if he's. Y'know. Grey and dead and has purple eyes. ]

I like the way you talk though. It sounds like... Hmm. I don't know how to describe it, but I like listening to it. You should try being an automated voice. I bet lots of people would listen to you.

Approximately 186.604 years old. That doesn't take into account my projected lifespan, it's just how long I've been alive. It's highly unlikely I would live that long outside of the time loop.

[ Nen's face doesn't change much, but there is a very faint softness in their tone that wasn't there before when they speak. For that bit, at least. Nenonen really does appreciate how helpful Chipp is when it comes to explaining things. He feels...dependable.

It's been a long time since Nenonen felt that way about anyone and not just because they dissolved into goop like 100+ years ago as far as time loops are concerned ]

[There's just a hint - a hint - of humor in his own tone, saying as much. He's tickled that Nen's suggesting that, as if he might have done it without their provocation -
Mostly because, well, they're right. If they'd left it at "I don't know", he definitely would have followed up with "I do know, let me teach you".]

AI stands for "Artificial Intelligence". It's codin' so complex, it can think for itself. To a point, anyway; so far, no living man's made one that can get that deep.
But mine obviously have magic goin' through it all, too. The magic I use works special with technology, so it ain't too hard to "magic up" a real AI if I need it.

What happens if you make a real AI then? Is it a person, or just a really smart program? What if you make it, then it decides it doesn't want to do the thing you made it for?

But I actually had that happen once. Needed a remote control robot to do its own thing for a while and do some stuff in my place, 'cause I'd caught some kinda nasty bug.
By the time I was better and could actually do shit again, it apparently got pissed and fucked off somewhere else.

Didn't find it 'till way later, beat up and out in the big cities' junk heap with its AI completely gone...
