Mini Event: Weekend of Misfires

"... you're right, it's not. But I'm still annoyed at you, you little cutie troublemaker."

Note: The above is not something anyone would be aware of, just a "how did this happen"

Welcome to a Mini Event which is basically: network server has been damaged, so all network messages have a chance of going to the wrong recipient. It doesn't need to happen, but there's a high chance of misfires happening for the duration of the mini event.

This post can be used for sending out messages that can end up for anyone and everyone completely without meaning to. Feel free to also just send a blank message with your character and receive messages from others! Whatever works best for you and is most fun~!

This event will happen for the whole weekend, starting from now and ending on late Sunday night once they finally manage to fix the mistake.


Remember to put warnings up if you want to post anything NSFW-ish and especially link pictures; however if it evolves into "sexting", remember to move it to another post.

[ Have the address for Brave Vesperia Ellipsa HQ - why is she cooking there instead of her starter apartment? Well...moving out is in progress, even if she doesn't have many things to hold onto. And she just got back from another mission so]

[ Why indeed? Saya certainly intends to ask. Shouldn't Judith have moved in by now? ]

[ Regardless, Saya makes her way there and then back to the kitchen. ]

That smells good. But please don't tell me you're doing all your cooking here. We have a nice kitchen at the house.

Of course not. But I got into the mood to cook after I got back, and before I knew it...

[Outside the kitchen, Ba'ul is resting. He opens his eye when Saya appears and makes a whale-like noise, as if to greet her, but then goes back to rest]

Fair enough.

[ Saya glances at Ba'ul. ] He doesn't seem too scared of me. That's refreshing. Most animals are.

[moonstriking]

He's an Entelexia, not just any animal. Smaller than he used to be, but it wouldn't change his nature.

[Ba'ul might be young, but hardly a coward. Besides, Judith was at ease and therefore, Ba'ul saw no reason to slide into his protective mode.

Serving some soup in the largest bowl she can find]

[ It's not about cowardice, it's about instinct; she's an apex predator, this is the equivalent of being locked in a cage with a hungry lion who's been poked with sticks all day. ]

He must be smart indeed. Even Repede snarled at me.

[moonstriking]

[Judith pauses, and turns to Ba'ul, as if listening to an unheard voice and smiles]

Entelexia were the guardians of our world.

[Setting the soup down in front of Saya. She wont comment on Repede's behaviour, though she is well aware Repede didn't like most people in general]

Yuri said Repede was never the most friendly with people.

...I'm not explaining this well. Most animals can't tolerate being near me at all. For any length of time, no matter their temperament or heritage. It took me months to get Kantera's rabbits to come near me, and they still flee in terror if I so much as sneeze loudly despite that it's been nearly a year. Repede didn't snarl because he's grumpy, he was ready to defend Yuri.

[ Saya takes a slow bite of the soup. ] It's really good. [ She has no appetite but she's absolutely going to eat it all anyway. ]

[moonstriking]

I see. [And for further elaboration:] Ba'ul says it's a good thing he's not an animal then.

[She nods, noting the lack of appetite but doesn't push it]

I guess that explains a few things. Sometimes that matters, sometimes it doesn't. [ She hasn't really stopped to consider the specifics, just that most NPC things are scared of her. ]

Is he telepathic?

[moonstriking]

He can communicate with me because of my ability. [She gestures towards her nageeg pointedly] But he's still young. It will be awhile before he is able to extend that to all people.

[sangreine]

Ah, I see.

My species is telepathic as well, but I don't imagine it's compatible yet. [ If it needs a specific thing to work, then that's another kettle of fish. ] I rarely use it unless I'm in one of my shift forms.

[moonstriking]

Mm. Other Krityans weren't able to hear his voice, so it's hard to say. I don't know the scope of other abilities.

[Well, at least they've established that Ba'ul is not an animal, which is the most important thing]

[ What's wrong with being an animal? Saya considers herself one (in a different way than a human would consider themselves an animal. She's a bat. She just happens to appear humanoid most of the time.) ]

...Maybe he's bonded to you specifically? Not that I know the first thing about it, but.

[moonstriking]

[There are a lot of things wrong with it pertaining to Ba'ul in particular, but Judith isn't going to get terse about it. There's no point]

Ah. Perhaps. Perhaps not. It's not like he's my familiar. He's just family.

He's not going to be unhappy if we decided to beat each other up a bit later, is he? [ Asking the important questions. Her fighting aura is legit. ]

[ Glancing at Ba'ul ]

He knows how I am. Worrying over small things isn't in his nature.

[sangreine]

That's one way to get me to eat faster. [ Usually she eats at a crazy speed especially given how polite she is about it, but no appetite. ]

Are you having any?

Of course. I can't cook for others and then not try my own food - I wouldn't know if it was any good.

[She'll take a seat with her own bowl]
