[The camera flicked on, with a bearded man in a lab coat adjusting the lens, squinting at it, before nodding in confirmation, glancing back at a man out of view of the camera. Some people may recognize the visible man as the Professor who had been sticking around the Pokémon vending machine, giving advice to others upon receiving their Pokémon.]
I believe the camera is working properly-- shall we begin?
It is- and angled properly now as well, so we shall indeed begin.
[Just once last extra-check to ensure the phone was well propped, and wouldn't slip if any of the pokémon out of view decided to investigate/get nosy while this was being done. An older man finally came into view, smoothing down a jacket and adjusting round glasses- some would likely easily recognize Clavell as the other person that had been sticking around the vending machine dispensing pokémon, motioning to Turo that he could take whatever place he desired for this.
Turo moved to stand next to Clavell, also adjusting his lab coat collar, he paused--]
...Clavell, I believe it is already broadcasting.
[Whoopsie.
Clavell squinted towards the broadcasting phone, another idle adjustment to how his glasses were position on his face.]
—Ah, so it is. Well, good a time as any to get started on the announcement then, no?
Indeed.
[Though the taller man did seem slightly ill at ease, he cleared his throat--]
Hello, fellow Otherworlders. My name is Professor Turo, from the Region of Paldea.
And I am Director Clavell, also from the Region of Paldea. We're here to announce that, after a lot of work during our own free time, we've managed to adapt a phone application from our world to work on these phones here.
[Better to get down to business, simply to help push ahead and hope Turo settled some as they continued on.]
As some of you are aware, a vending machine located at the Underground Mall has been giving out creatures known as ‘Pokémon’. These beings are native to our homeworld, and we’ve both worked to help further the study of them.
[So to speak, in his case… but regardless.]
Our companion, Jacq, developed what is called a ‘Pokédex’, an encyclopaedia of all known Pokémon in Paldea. Due to the fact Pokémon from outside our Region have been appearing here, we felt it prudent to make a version of the Pokédex accessible to all of you, updated with all known Pokémon.
[Clavell tipped his head, a small gesture made towards the camera- more indicating the phone broadcasting them—]
We have also added the necessary information to help you care for your new Pokémon companions; from dietary needs to helping keep a level of cleanliness and happiness. All in an effort to help build what can hopefully grow into a strong bond between you and them, as Pokémon are very wonderful creatures.
[Whatever they could think of that needed to be known about every pokémon within the Pokédex that could be helpful, since between Turo and Clavell they certainly knew quite a bit about pokémon as a whole.]
I have done my best to ensure the application is easy to use once downloaded to your phones, given I am used to altering the Pokedex app program here and there due to familiarity with Jacq's work. If there is some trouble, do not hesitate to bring it up to either of us.
Also, there’s two modes for the Pokedex; Normal Mode and Unlocked.
[Turo holding up two fingers to indicate--]
Normal mode works as it was intended for Pokémon Trainers from our world; Pokémon are blacked out until you encounter them-- thus your own Pokémon will show up instantly, and you will be able to unlock more as you meet new Pokémon from your fellows around the city. Unlocked has all Pokémon available to see and learn about, including Pokémon that are rarely seen and often considered Legends or Myths in our world.
[Clavell nodded along as Turo spoke—]
You will be able to choose which Mode to keep your Pokédex application in, and either will still have full information available to you under each Pokémon's entry. So far there are only various starter pokémon to be seen, from that Vending Machine in the Underground Mall, unless you encounter one of the other people from some region of our world; chances are that Pokémon of our own teams are with us.
[Such as the Houndoom that wandered to sit just by Clavell after a long stretch.
And the Rotom that-- started buzzing around the camera.]
--Rotom, please behave.
[The exasperation in Turo’s voice could not be hidden, but after giving the camera a raspberry, the Rotom darted away with a buzzy giggle.
Clavell hid a chuckle behind his hand briefly, the other resting just at the top of Houndoom's head as the pokémon peered at the phone broadcasting them-]
So, we do hope this Pokédex phone application comes in handy for those of you who decide to download it, and again do not hesitate to reach out to either of us as needed.
[There was an attached file, the Download link to the Pokédex application.]
(OOC: The pokédex app does have all known pokémon in it- except for the ancient paradox pokémon, as these two are from Violet rather than Scarlet. Those tagging in may, of course, get replies from both Clavell and Turo. Speaking of- regular font is Clavell, and the purple font is Turo.)

There are other activities that person and pokémon may do together, after all.
[Battles were simply where a majority started.]
Back home there are an array of potions, along with Pokémon Centers where pokémon can be taken to be healed within seconds. Otherwise? A good rest can bring a pokémon back up to health so long as they haven't been injured in a way that would require a doctor or nurse to see to them. [Such severe injury was rare, after all.] A battle works simply; two trainers agree to battle, and their pokémon engage in using attacks aimed at one another, and this is where something such as type advantage can come into play. Some pokémon types are weak to others, while others have advantage- you'll be able to find information about type advantage in the pokédex app. Most battles do not end until one side has the entirety of their team rendered unable to battle -be they all asleep, simply knocked out, or unable to battle for any other reason. Really, the rules can be set by the trainers engaging in the battle or keep to that standard. As a reminder, a pokémon will not engage in battle if it doesn't wish to do so.
A pokémon doesn't have to evolve, no- it's simply happens naturally for some when they reach a certain level. There are those who prevent evolution through giving their pokémon something known as an everstone- in that same thought there are other evolutions that require certain stones or other items depending on the pokémon. Pokémon evolution as a whole is quite the interesting and strange subject given that not all pokémon evolve the same way.
So long as you are treating your pokémon well, they are healthy and happy, it matters little if the remain in any stage. I will add, of course, some pokémon want to evolve and grow stronger while there are others that care very little either way.

[Rui puts his fist to his chin for a moment. Were there any other questions he wanted answers to this moment?]
Since you said the Dex App has more information on types, I believe that's all of my questions for now. I will do my best to take care of little Nepeta.

[All the better to try and prevent any incidents through misunderstanding as well; Clavell truly wanted to avoid any dangerous incidents, such as what could have happened with his Gyarados suddenly in an unfamiliar environment and what even one's temper could cause.
Really, fortunate that it was avoided with how quickly he got to the stable area.]
Do remember if any further questions come to mind, no matter how long from now, I will happily do my best to answer should you message me. I believe that you and Nepeta will do very well together.
