That sounds great! I don't know a lot about cooking, but I can do some. Usually we just get instant food from the store.

Instant food is great if you wanna turn Mecchan into a fat little butterball, sure. What else are you feeding him?

There's some healthy stuff there too! Like the onigiri! I have lots of onigiri!

Coleslaw? That has vegetables. My pet chameleon back home just ate crickets and stuff, but...

Bugs and veggies should be fine, as long as he's not a picky eater. I imagine some fish wouldn't hurt, either.

Okay! Because he's from the water, right? I set up a heat lamp, but I'm not sure he likes it.

Well, he is a water type, so that's not surprising. They tend to not like heat because they'll start to dry out.

You probably don't have a little pool or a pond or anything, do you?

I got a fog machine! I figured it would be kind of like a reptile mister, but just for the whole apartment instead of a little enclosure. And it's useful for stage performances too!
