[Their make was akin to a barn owl, wide and velvety soft to the touch. They didn't shine as a crow's feathers would, but rather seemed to just devour any light that hit them. The wings shivered slightly as she stroked them, the feathers rippling right up to the tip.]

Thank you, I've always been very proud of them. It wasn't a common color among the flock I was born in.

[The wing flicked slightly, before he fanned out both of them for her, ever mindful of just how goddamn big they were. He didn't want to knock anything over after all.]

I was certainly popular while I was there! Mind, they're all lovely, as sirens are wont to be. They tend to be lighter in coloration; dappled browns, soft creams, sandy tans and brilliant whites, but all still equally a treat for the eyes.

Ohh, so you're a siren. I should have known from how handsome you are and your lovely voice.

You're too kind, Evangeline. But here I am commanding all the attention and receiving all these compliments, when I'm but a guest in your home.

Why don't you tell me of yourself? Your home, what you've done here, whatever might come to mind! You may have to explain a few things to me, I've found there's a great deal I don't know of here.

Oh, me? Well, my home's a little depressing, so I don't want to bring down the mood with that kind of talk...

[Nobody really wants to hear about the City, even the people currently in the City.]

Here I'm employed at the Research Center, helping with developing potions and analyzing monsters. I do a few quests now and then, but I spend a lot of my time just enjoying my vacation here for as long as I've got it.

I won't trouble you for the details, if it is painful to recount. But I am sorry to hear that thoughts of home trouble you so, you have my condolences.

Ah! You're an alchemist of sorts then?

That's one way to describe it, yeah. I haven't spent much time with the magic here aside from shapeshifting, but I do like making potions.

Ah! You can shapeshift?

[He's definitely not even bothered to check what all the possible abilities here are, he's been far too distracted by literally everything else. He turns his head about to look at her, leaning back as he did to rest against her legs.]

Into what, may I ask? Do forgive me if I'm prying, I've always had an interest in the art of it. Glamour is one thing, but to truly shift shape is a far more complicated affair.

It's a seasonal power! All the seasons can do it, but what animals you're able to shift into depends on which season you have.

[She's a deft hand at it by now- as demonstrated by her arms suddenly transforming into octopus tentacles, which she wiggles at him, grinning.]
