Hello there, everybody.
I've come to inquire about something that I've found rather curious; in case someone else has experienced the same phenomenon as I have.
Myself and a friend, K - the last thing we remember from our worlds is different. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it common at all? And is there anything that I should or shouldn't do?
Thank you very much in advance; I'd appreciate the prompt response.

What is the last song you remember us making, Amia?

That's a little after the time period K's from, but a little bit before what I remember.

Not sure what you're supposed to do in these situations. Try not to get a major headache?

[ That you had to meet a jerk from your world, she means. ]
I'll have to see about finding some aspirin, then.

[It might just take a while.]
I don't think there's much else you can do. It's not like you can do anything about it.

I can't claim how common such an occurrence is, but for things that you shouldn't do, assuming that you're from a further point in time, perhaps not spoiling everything about the future.
Well, some things won't hurt.

Perhaps it might be for the best to avoid as much as I can.

Life changing events are topics I'd avoid. You want to keep such interesting tidbits to yourself. Getting married... the sudden death of a friend, I'm certain you catch what I mean now.

I'm glad that other people have had that experience and know what the best way to handle it is. I wouldn't want to have to treat the others differently just because they were in the past.

And, in a strange sense, it was like I got to befriend them all over again.

[She's replying a day or so after the original post, after a certain person spoke about meeting her older brother's (as of yet) non-existent daughter.]
You aren't the only one. Someone I've spoken to here claims to have met others from my world who haven't even been born yet, and he knows enough that I don't believe he's lying.

I hope having that information doesn't cause problems from your world, though.
