Take this as more a confirmation being made if need be, but—

What does it mean when a Command Seal, or whatever you might call it, vanishes completely without a Spell being used?

[Sure, there'd only been one left out of three, but he was damn sure he hadn't used it. The other two only used when asked- well, the second only used when asked since the first had been to save the guy's life.]

If it makes it any easier to answer, I'm the guy Napoleon calls Grandpere.

Command Seals disappear if a Servant dies.

It means you no longer have a contract because your Servant is either no longer in this world at all, as in that Servant disappeared from here completely, or that your Servant is currently dead and will be back if their flower is in one of the flower yards.

Had a feeling- couldn't go check the yard myself, still dealing with something.

But they can also disappear from you if Caster, who replied to this post too, hits either of you with her Rule Breaker. It's a dagger or whatever, magical weapon either way, even if that's not what happened in your case.

Figured there was a story or something about that response. Something to keep an eye on if occasion rises.

Probably should be, given I don't know shit outside of how the Spells work and that he draws 'mana' from me due to the contract. Something about political magic bullshit, too- and that's as nicely as I can put it.

I usually just let him go about his business here, outside of guild jobs and the like we work together on; so outside of what I needed to know for that, didn't go into too much about it.

i tend to be one of the first people point their fingers at during times like this but regardless the most likely situation is that your servant has disappeared or been killed im sorry

indeed im glad you understand i would not normally bother with such things there is little point trying to convince people who have already made up their mind but i have no wish to make enemies of the masters here

A reason he probably didn't tell me shit- think the only way I could go out was if my partner came with me and thought it was a good idea to given- well.

[Frozen Heart bullshit, and he had laughed when it hit, having to be carried home by the very man now needing to be waited out. How the reason it hit just wasn't fair, allowed to have his secrets.

if they were really on your side to begin with or if were just exploiting you until they had what they needed from you martyrs villains or sometimes it is the people calling themselves heroes at least that was the case in my lifetime but in the end it all does come back to betrayal doesnt it that is something i know far too well

It's almost funny- made the contract to keep him from dying here when he took a hit for me during a job. Kind of guy he is, huh.

Some you can tell are using you, trying to get some power by kissing up. Like if they play right you can give them the power and authority they dream of.

It's the ones that you least suspect that hit the hardest, what was given never enough.

Heroes can easily turn to villains- more so if they've something to gain in playing and turning, get what's wanted from one and take the extended 'glory' from the other.

Does, and then sometimes you can't tell if you want revenge for the betrayal, or answers- maybe both.

[He sure as hell was going one-man-army for his own justice back home, throwing himself into revenge that just happened to throw him still on a side some could mistake for heroism in a narrow view. Wasn't a hero anymore, as far as he was concerned.
