So. Um.

[Rapunzel. Has been here a while now and it's become quite clear she kind of. Needs to figure a way to get her hair under better control while out and about where it is more populated. Where it might get tangled or just in the way trailing behind her. That was not so much an issue back home in the tower, but. Well. Here it kind of is. She gestures to the seventy feet of it trailing around her room.]

I was wondering if anyone was up for helping me with my hair? I mean. I wash and dry and brush it myself but. It's kind of harder for me to do it up? Get it out of the way when I head out? Back home it wasn't so much an issue. And once I had these little girls help me braid it? But. It's a little trickier to figure by myself when it's so long.

[She says, running a hand through her hair and giving a shrug. Pascal remains at her shoulder at the other side.]

I'm still figuring this place. Settling in but. I think I'm managing okay? Mostly? It's. Very different. From the tower back home, but. That's good! I've figured some art supplies but I'm not as sure on it being okay to paint on the walls like I did back home so. I might look at what's it called, canvases? Or something?

[She procures some paints, holding up a purple colour. She could. Probably go on more but decides to end it there, giving a wave and thanking people for their advice or help.]

You would? Oh, thank you! I just. Have a bit of trouble doing it to keep it up and out of the way myself with how much of it there is.

[Rapunzel considers for a moment, wondering what she could do in return.]

I can definitely give it a try. My hair is long, too, but not this long... Still, I can understand.

Thank you. The braid those little girls did in Corona seemed to work alright? I only had it in for a day or so but. That at least kept it up and out of the way from trailing on the ground.

I just hope it won't be too much. But it would be better. I think. To not have it trailing behind me all the time. At least. When I am out and about where there's lots of other people and all. If you could help, that would be great! It doesn't have to be perfect, just. Getting it up and off the ground....

Sure, don't worry. I'm sure we'll figure something out and if not I have some artistic friends who will likely have some ideas, too.

I mean. If they wanted to help. Like I said, nobody is expected or obligated to, and I'm sure I'll figure something in return but. I wouldn't say no if they have some ideas.

Don't worry. If they're not busy with something else, I'm sure they'll be willing to help.

For now, let's try something on our own.

Alright. We can try it ourselves and if we need help we can let them know. I guess. No need to interrupt anyone else if we can figure it. It's just a little tricky for me to figure on my own since there's so much of it, is all.

Is there anywhere you'd like to meet up? I work at the tea house so maybe that would be a good place.

A tea house? I guess I can meet you there if that might work. I'm not too worried on where, so long as there is enough space to work with. Last time when my hair was braided, was when I was outside.

I see... Hm, maybe it would be better to meet outside the tea house then.

Seventy feet is a lot.....yeah. Sorry. I'm not trying to make it difficult, just. Wanted you to be aware it might need a little space.

Asking for help may feel difficult sometimes, but don't worry. It never hurts to try.

Right. Yeah. Doesn't hurt to try? Worst would be nobody could help. Wouldn't make me any worse off than I already am? Or something like that.

Oh, that's for sure. Like I said, I also have longer hair, but yours definitely open up a lot of new possibilities.

What sort of possibilities?

There are many things that you could do with long hair: braid them, pin them up in a fancy way. We just have to try them out!

As long as it keeps it up and out of the way, off the ground. I don't mind what we try.

Have you considered cutting it to a more manageable length?

[ Magic hair? What's that? ]

You can try painting on silk for your art. I'm certain there is a manner you can affix it to the walls, so it will feel as though you are painting on them. In addition, you can have the silk sized to whatever you might desire.

Cutting it? No! I can't. It's....unique. I can use it to heal. So. If I cut it, it loses that power.

[So. Nope. Not happening. As much as Rapunzel might now realize that Gothel had been using her for her hair. That doesn't mean it might not be useful still. That it might not be able to help others. Of her own choosing. Of her own free will in being aware of her abilities and that others here wouldn't do the same.]

Silk? Hm. Maybe....

How did you obtain magical hair?

[ Why is it just her hair that's magical and not the rest of her? It doesn't seem logical. ]

Silk is flexible enough that you could adhere it to the wall so it appears as though the walls are painted.

I was born with it. I always had it ever since I can remember. That's why...why it had to be protected. Why I had never left the tower until recently. Just for a couple of days.

[One day in Corona. That was it. All she had wanted. To see the lanterns. Still, she gives a nod, considering the recommendation of silk.]

It might be something to consider. I'm just not sure if I would be allowed, here. To paint the walls.

Would it not be more beneficial to use your healing abilities to help others instead of hiding it away? Also, is it not too heavy for something like a braid or to keep it up?

[ It's just as heavy on the ground, but at least it's only pulling it along behind and letting the majority of the weight to be held by the floor. ]

Mn. Silk will not be the same as painting on the walls, but if you are used to that angle, you can hang it where you want it before you begin.

My moth -- no. The woman who kidnapped me, she said it was a gift. It had to be protected. That others might take advantage of it, try to cut and sell it or something. It's only in hindsight I've realized she just wanted to keep me with her. So she could use me for my hair. To keep herself young.

[Something that is taking time to come to terms with. To really....process. But Rapunzel has time, here, at least. Even if she still wants answers as to what to expect back home. At the least, whether Eugene survives.]

The braid those little girls did in my hair that day in Corona seemed fine? I mean it was different, I'd never had my hair up before that but. I think it was sort of lots of smaller braids among it? It was quite thick, but. It was at least not trailing on the ground where others might trip on it or it might get caught on something.

I suppose that is something to consider though. At least. To help sort of transition to other things than the walls. Or furniture.
