...Who sadly can't traveler that much here. But since everyone is from different worlds, I am curious to hear more about them. And to make this easier I have a question as a starter! Is there anything you miss from your world?

Why did you want to know if there was anything other people missed from their old worlds?

[startraveler]

I wanted to know what other worlds are like. It seemed like a nice way to start that sort of conversation.

Oh, that reminds me. I was supposed to ask people about the gods from other worlds... Does Teyvat have a god or gods? I was going to learn about them for a project a few months ago, but I forgot.

[startraveler]

Teyvat has many gods. There are seven nation and each nation is watched over by a different god.

[essenceborn]

How do you classify a "god" in Teyvat? Are they merely powerful individuals, or is there some particular biological or magical trait which sets them apart from other beings in your world?

[startraveler]

Hm, that's actually a good question.

There are many beings with mysterious traits that can be found in Teyvat like youkai or adepti. Gods, however, seem to be surpassing them by far when it comes to power. They can shape land as they see fit, they can create things, sometimes beings, but they can also destroy other gods.

Ascending to godhood also seems possible, but I'm not sure what circumstances exactly need to be met. There's a floating island above Teyvat called Celestia and it is said to be an island of gods. I'm not quite sure who lives there and if gods that are there are much different from those who remain in Teyvat, but they seem to have a saying in a lot of things. They were the ones who approved the first seven gods of each nation.

Hmm... But what does it mean when you say they can shape the land, or create things or destroy other gods? I thought those were all things non-gods could do, too. Shigeru creates dinner most nights and it is excellent, but I do not think that makes him a god.

I'll give you an example. Mondstadt used to be covered in snow and ice, but its god Barbatos used his powers to drive away the cold and reshape the land. Mondstadt now is a beautiful land, full of green meadows and flowers.

Humans usually don't have power to change the weather or shape the land as they see fit. Not with ease, at least.

That is incredibly hard to imagine. Is that a "miracle"? I have heard that when a god does something that cannot be explained or understood, that is what it is called.

[startraveler]

I think some would call it this way.

Not really, since it's just the kind of power they have. A miracle feels like it should be something rare and unexpected.

[essenceborn]

What's something that would be considered a miracle to you?

...A human winning against a god?

[essenceborn]

Winning at what? A game?

[startraveler]

I was thinking more like in a battle. You see, gods are super powerful so an ordinary human wouldn't stand a chance against them.

This is why even deflecting god's attack could be considered a miracle. Or at least that's what I think.

Why would anyone fight a god if they knew it was theoretically impossible? That makes no logical sense and seems a better way to wind up being killed.

[startraveler]

That's a good question.

And yet despite all that, a friend of mine threw himself to block a god's blade that was aimed at me. And a miracle happened. He deflected the blade like nobody before him ever could.

Why did a god aim a blade at you??

[startraveler]

Well... it's a long story. Basically I got her angry because I didn't like what she was doing.

[You know, taking people's ambitions, capturing his friend (Thoma), all kinds of things that he took personally.]

Alright, so...

The story is that in Teyvat people have something called "Visions". It's like a blessing from gods that lets you use elemental powers. But if a god takes away your Vision, they also take away a part of you - your ambitions. Your dreams, in a way, too.

One of the gods was doing that - taking away people's Visions. At first I didn't want to get involved in this, but then my friend - Thoma, was arrested and his Vision was going to be snatched away. So I rushed to save him and made the god angry in the process.
