[He'd meant to do a video, originally, but...learning how to navigate this new device has been an overwhelming experience. Typing would be easiest if he wants to avoid any blunders (even if he's still slow at it); not to mention, he can stop to think about anything he says before hitting send. Letters but faster. It's a useful tool...]
Hi there.
My name is Armin Arlert. I'm new here, and I'm still trying to get my footing. My world is really nothing like this place. To be honest, it's all been a bit overwhelming.
That being said, if anyone has any advice outside of what you'd learn through orientation, I'd be happy to hear it - to do with anything, really.
A microwave is as foreign to me as fire powers. I could really use the help.
Thanks,
Armin

1) If you talk about our world, expect horrified reactions.
2) Not every world has "child soldiers." Expect horrified reactions there, too.
3) Many people come from worlds with advanced technology and/or magic. The stuff that is bewildering to us is normal to them. Get used to it.
4) Figure out your magic quickly.
5) Don't die.

"Don't die" - that's always good advice.
[Should he even be attempting to be lighthearted right now?]
"Child soldiers" - I've never really thought of people like us that way. It's true, but I've been in the mindset of being a soldier, period, for so long, that I didn't even really think about our ages...
[Bb, you are 19.]
This is good advice. Just the type I was looking for. Thank you.

[ Because, of course, Reiner was younger than that when he became a Warrior. Younger still when he was accepted as a Candidate. ]
If you want more specific advice:
Use the two months of free meals to try different foods and figure out what you like. Find something nutritious that would taste good with raisins. Something like a ration bar.
Then buy an unlimited cookie jar from the shop Better, Stronger, Cheaper. Stick that nutritious food inside. The jar will add raisins and replicate that food indefinitely.

Indefinitely? That's incredible.
[The inevitable addition of raisins is a small price to pay. Unlimited food...Armin can scarcely imagine it. What a difference that might have made back home...]

There's a similar item called a bottomless glass at another shop: Riki's Rewards. When you fill that glass with a drink, it'll keep filling itself until you pour it out. That one is a lower priority than the cookie jar, but I'd recommend getting one.
[ Then, grudgingly, and only because Eren said to do so— ]
Also, I apologize for raising my voice at you. I do not apologize for my choice of words.
[ He meant each one. ]
[ > Locked to Reiner]
I didn't expect you to apologize. I understand why you were angry.
[ Locked ∞ ]
No, you don't understand. You might have a few guesses, but you don't understand.

[Armin was there the day Shiganshina was destroyed. Reiner was too.]
There are things we don't understand about each other and each other's lives.
It goes both ways.
I'm sorry that I upset you. Now we've both apologized.

[ From the outside, it probably looks like a petty hill to die on. But after Armin manipulated Bertholdt's feelings so thoroughly (and Reiner's, too), Reiner feels rather disgusted by the thought of Armin understanding him. ]
Can we agree on that?
