[A white dove is addressing the network, fluffing his feathers and only succeeding in making himself look soft.]

I have achieved a third form! [He stretches out his wings and toddles towards the camera, peering at himself.] I think I am...a dove?

If you are having trouble with your transformations or the elemental magic, I'm happy to help. My cultivation seems to have given me a strong basis for these skills.

[ His A-Chen knows him and accepts him. Xue Yang knows how fortunate he is to have this pure, sweet man beside him, teaching him a better way of life in a way no one had ever bothered before.

It takes focus to fold his wings at the perfect time to get them through the door without colliding into anything, and then he brings them to a quick (careful) halt, legs outstretched before folding his wings again for a gentle landing.

Then he shifts forms and turns to catch his love, emotion naked on his face as he chokes out- ]

A-Chen...

[His Xue Yang is one of a kind - a treasure - and Xingchen coos in amazement at the little adjustments his love makes to bring them into the house safely. Before he can change back, he is back in his A-Yang's arms!

Which isn't bad for him at all. He loves those arms. His form shifts back to normal and he wraps his arms around Xue Yang, cradling him against him. The emotion in his lover's voice goes straight to his heart!]

Did I say something wrong, A-Yang?

[ That coo of amazement sinks into his soul!

Xue Yang clings to his love and buries his face against Xingchen's neck, holding on as he trembles and pants for breath. Not just from the exhilarating flight. He manages a shaky laugh and shakes his head a little as those arms shelter him. ]

No. You just...

Every word you said is right. Perfect.

I like the owl part of me best too.

[Xingchen rubs over Xue Yang's back, encouraging deep, calming breaths. The cold air combined with flying for the first time would wind anyone! But he can steady his love until his energy returns.

And maybe afterwards too since letting go seems difficult most days.]

Ah? [His eyes widen and he smiles tremulously, tears stinging his eyes.] I love you. I didn't want you to hurt anymore; I'm sorry we lost Zichen. But I promise I am your pack. Your family.

[ He'd loved every second! Especially the slight, warm weight on his back the whole time.

Xue Yang sighs under those gentle, loving hands and snuggles close as he settles. Xingchen's presence does wonders for him. ]

Mm...I love you too, A-Chen. Every breath I take is a breath of love for you.

[ He lifts his head and sees the tears, making his heart flutter before he gently kisses over those expressive, beautiful eyes. ]

You are my everything, Xiao Xingchen. I know I'll be alright because I have you.

[He had too. Seeing the world from that vantage point had been breathtaking. Xue Yang keeps giving him lovely surprises and Xingchen treasures each one - as well as the man himself.

Spreading out the pillows, he helps them sit down before the fire and recline on the cushions. The entire time he doesn't let go, tucking Xue Yang's hair behind his ears tenderly.]

I'm alright because of you. [He smiles into the kisses and brings their foreheads together.] I need my A-Yang. I'm not complete without him.

[ How could he do any less? Xingchen is a beautiful man in every way! Xue Yang loves being the cause of his joy.

He moves as his lover directs, also not letting go until they're comfortable on the cushions and he wiggles until utterly content with their positions tangled together.

Gazing into his love's eyes, he smiles helplessly back. ]

You have me, always! However you want me.

[Xingchen tangles their legs together once they are settled, stroking gentle fingertips over Xue Yang's handsome - yet adorable - face. The smile he is given makes it impossible for him to not smile back. At least until he leans in and kisses said smile.]

What if I want you warm and happy and by my side forever?

[He rubs over his lover's chest.]

My dove form needs your protection.

[ This is one of his favorite positions. Those gentle touches sink into his heart and soul, warming them as surely as the fire warms his body. He purrs as he kisses back, nuzzling their lips together playfully. ]

Then that's where I'll be!

[ Xue Yang rests a hand over the hand on his chest. ]

My sweet dove has my protection.

[Stretching out like this after a day spent in the cold is blissful. Xingchen takes off his boots and wiggles out of his outer-robe. Then he unties Xue Yang's robe and sneaks his arms inside of it, embracing his love with a grin.]

If you ever want to ride on my back when I'm a stag, I always have room for a sweet owl.

[ Xue Yang also takes off his boots, then laughs as his robes are untied just so his cute lover can slip his arms under the layers. He snuggles his A-Chen close, nuzzling their noses. ]

That sounds fun! And any time you want to ride on a wolf or reindeer, there's a cozy spot for you~

As a panda?! [Xingchen playfully gasps before giggling. He kisses the underside of Xue Yang's jaw and then smiles into his eyes.] I'm afraid a panda would crush a poor wolf and the reindeer would struggle.

[ He laughs helplessly and tilts his head back to welcome those kisses. ]

That panda needs to be cuddled! His wolf and reindeer would do his best to carry him though.

[Xingchen peppers more kisses along Xue Yang's neck and throat.]

He can play with your wolf, that's for sure. [His panda counterpart is...mischievous. He finds himself rolling on their floor and dragging Xue Yang into playful bear hugs.]

[ His eyes flutter closed and another contented sigh escapes at the extra kisses. ]

I love playing with your panda, A-Chen. And running with your beautiful stage. And now flying with your pretty dove!

[He grins at the contentment and raises himself, brushing their lips together.]

What do you think my animal forms mean? What do you see in me?

[ He presses into the soft kiss with a hum, then considers the question. He raises a hand to idly play with a lock of his lover's soft hair. ]

The stag shows your strong, beautiful and graceful nature. Your panda is your playful, mischievous side.

And your dove shows the part of you that wants to be free, but also protected. That's your heart, and I love it best.

[The answer leaves him pink and he kisses Xue Yang repeatedly, snuggling into him.]

I didn't know about my panda before you. [His voice wobbles and he tips his head back, kissing Xue Yang's forehead.]

I was hoping for a stronger bird, but I don't need to be strong. Not all the time. I have you. You never let me fall or abandon me.

[ He melts into each kiss, happily! And wraps himself around his love, gaze warm as he watches his Xingchen. This man in all his forms and ways is his. ]

I will never fail you again. You can count on me. I'm here beside you.

[Xingchen pulls Xue Yang's hand to his heart, pressing the palm against his chest.]

This is yours. It doesn't matter what I look like or if I can...see.

[He falters, afraid of the future.]

Just be my A-Yang and I will love you.

[ He rubs over that strong, steady heartbeat, then, with a muffled, wounded sound, wiggles until he can drape himself over Xingchen. As if he can protect this precious man from the future. ]

Always. I will always be your A-Yang.

[The desperation and the sudden weight over him surprise him into wrapping around Xue Yang with his arms and legs. Xingchen doesn't want to be the cause of panic or sorrow.]

I think you were born mine. I should have left my Master sooner.

[ He loves being wrapped up in Xingchen's arms and legs. Breath eases out as he snuggles in close. ]

Yes. We just took...the long way to figure it out.

[Xingchen tucks Xue Yang's head against his shoulder and rocks him soothingly. If this is what his love needs, he has endless affection to give him.]

My silly A-Yang. Your birthplace didn't deserve you. If I could do it over again, I would be there with my Master to carry you up the mountain. You must have been such a cute baby.

[ His eyes close as he's held, even rocked! He loves the tireless affection Xingchen gives him. Xue Yang slips his arms around Xingchen to hold on too. ]

Mm. If I could do it over again, I'd have gone searching for you then too!
