She turns after that, putting a good bit of distance between her and the device. She's finally learned most people don't want to talk to just an up close face. Plus from this distance everyone gets to see her special sunflower dress just for this occasion!]

[She straightens out her skirt and then perks back up, both hands folded together before her.]

Hi there everyone! I'm Julie Joyful, your resident rainbow monster with a big important bit of news!

[And now her clutched together hands are thrown skyward. The confetti she tosses upwards rains down over her!]

I've opened my very own store! It's called Perfectly Pleasing Plants and you can find me in Blossomcrown! Come by to drink tea or play games with me or take a nap -- and buy plants too! I'll take you around the whole shop to find the perfect plant for you!

And if you come by for hopscotch bring your own pebbles. And some chalk if you have it!

It is irresponsible to offer hopscotch, yet ask that your visitors provide all the supplies.

They don't have to supply everything! I have chalk and pebbles too! I just thought others might have their own favorite chalk or pebbles. Doesn't everyone?

... Also I might be low on red chalk. But I didn't specifically ask for it!

Is it normal to have one's own favorite of such things?

Oh it's normal to have favorites of a lot of things! Favorite foods, favorite clothes, favorite scents -- just about anything!

Really? It sounds as though it would be exhausting to have so many favorites...

... Well - barring food, of course.

Only if you want to. You don't have to have a favorite anything though. It's all about what you want to do, you know?

[She gets now that doing what they want as they please isn't both familiar and not for Purple.]

Even now, they're still getting used to it.]

Hmm, I see... I do know I have favorites among several different things, but they're quite what you might expect of me, to be frank.
I find that I quite enjoy the colors of amethysts, while rubies are among my favorites for reasons obvious to those who know me - and out of the flowers that I have seen, I've been drawn to daisies and nightshade the most.
Though, I dare not bring nightshade into my apartment, now that I have brought the sun to Ellipsa.

[... Somewhere in the background is a little rabbit making itself comfy in Purple's living room.]

Are there any colors you would prefer in terms of pebbles?
There is a crafts store I enjoy visiting that sells small pebbles of glass, enchanted to remain unbreakable. I thought of them immediately when you asked that others bring their own.

... Wasn't the sun already in Ellipsa?

[Leave it to Julie to thoroughly bypass everything else for just a second here.]

Well - yes, of course, the Ellipsan sun is here in Ellipsa.
But I have brought the sun of Everhood here, using a Wishing Star. Here -

[Their camera gets turned around so Purple can show her exactly what they mean, aiming it at a little, white bunny eating some lettuce on the sofa.
It looks pretty content, even though it's surrounded by all the shiny magical knicknacks that Purple apparently can't stop buying.]

... This is the form our sun takes when it no longer resides in the sky. I have a feeling it can't return to its original form, here, but I much prefer this form regardless.

[Awww, look at it. Julie takes a moment to smush her hands against her cheeks.]

Oh golly, it's so cute! You definitely don't want nightshade anywhere around that little guy!

Weeeeell ... I like almost all colors really. I mean I have preferences and favorites but ... gosh, I can't pick just one! The glass pebbles sound neat too! Do they come in colors?

You have opened a shop all on your own? Impressive.

What kind of plants do you offer?

Awww, thank you! I don't think I would have done this at home so it's neat to give it a try here! As for plants we've got all kinds!

[Here she starts ticking them off on her fingers.]

I've got all sorts of succulents ... and then there's the pansies of course. Wildflowers of all sorts, sunflowers, daises, tulips -- oh! Right now I have some tiny little tea roses but I should have other varieties soon. Most roses are pretty friendly though so if the tea roses like you I think most of the others should too!

[The dark hedgehog raises an eyebrow.]

The roses are capable of liking you? Are they sentient? I will stop by. See if these roses like me.

[He doubts it. But he can buy a cup of tea at least.]

All flowers are capable of liking you! And disliking you too. Or just being really, really opinionated.

[As for sentience, well ... Julie tilts her head gently as she considers.]

Sentient like a person? Mm, well, more or less, I guess? They sure do like to talk anyhow!

What do the roses like to talk about exactly?

Usually themselves. Some types are very delicate, you know. They only grow in certain soils or with certain amounts of sunlight and that sort of thing. The hardier types like to talk about how big and healthy their blooms are!

[She giggles a little.]

If they talk about you though it'll mostly be about your looks. They're pretty particular about those too!

Hm. I think I knew a rose in the form of a bat.

[He nods.] Once I have money, I will stop by. Perhaps I will take a rose after all.

[Rouge would be so mad to hear him saw all this. Doesn't mean it isn't true.]

A rose that looked like a bat? Or a bat that looked like a rose?

[Or a little of both maybe?]

A bat with the personality of a rose. Though she does like roses too, I am sure.

[Oh! Julie readily giggles at that.]

Well then I'm sure she would make a lovely rose! I don't have any friends that would quite be like a rose so I would love to meet her if she ever ends up here!

I'll be sure to pick out some roses that are the rosiest of them all!

I will introduce you if she arrives one day. We can drink tea as you get to know her.
